My heart starts beating rapidly out of my chest , I lose control of my whole body as I listen further to their conversation.

" Have you tried doing things the way normal people do like asking her out ?" .

He huffs again," multiple times".

" And ?".

" She'd take it as a joke" .

" People can be corrected.what did you do when she took your feelings as a 'joke' ".

" Nothing,I'd laugh along with her ".

" How many times did you ask her out ?" .

"4 " .

I only remember three . Every answer he gives makes my body nummer than it is , there are these weird siren sounds in my head that make me dizzier by the second.

The first time we were on a school trip , that day he begged me not to bring anything along because he had everything covered , he brought all my favourite snacks and everything I would and could possibly need , after the tour guide was done showing us around the caves Ethan took me to the first cave we saw which was shaped almost like a heart and asked me to date him , I don't remember the conversation we were having but it led me to think he was joking and when he also laughed it certified my thoughts.

The second and third time it was at The Days New year's Eve party ,we went there 3years in a row and in those occasions we weren't in our right minds 10 shots of Hennessy were enough to knock us out ,how could I take him seriously.I don't remember the 4th .

He tells Andrew about all the times he tried to ask me out ,when he gets to the 4th my mind calms down out of curiosity.

" She had a bad breakup with her boyfriend and asked me to come over . It was the first time I entered her room . Mr Rivers was around.i had to use the window. She cried in my arms the whole night. My exact words were ' if you were with me you wouldn't have to cry like this ' ," he chuckles," my words flew over her head ,the next thing that came out her mouth was what made me stop trying".

" Which was ?" Andrew asked.

" ' And ruin our friendship ?' " he imitates my tone ," I wanted her close to me every moment even as a friend regardless of how much it tormented me ".

" Help me understand Mr Price,why did you feel like the world was ending when you got married to the woman you love and wanted to be with ?" .

" I was starting to break free from the grasp she had on me , Sarah never gave me the opportunity to think about Lauren,she was always smothering me".

"Why'd you abuse her if it wasn't for revenge?, What did you hope to gain from that ?".

" I don't know, to keep myself from exploding , her smile always got the worst of me , seeing her smile had a way of reaping my heart into shreds ,it always reminded me that she could never be mine in a painful way " he responds.

Andrew starts calling him out as obsessive and points out that Sarah is also a victim of his . My mind is miles off from the recording ,I don't know how and when but I find my car parked in front of the hotel doors, hop out the car and drag myself inside, the only thing that can keep me from exploding are answers , I need answers ,it would be better if this day was nothing but a dream .
