" Then both , order a whole cake not just slices " .

His eyes widen ," okay , I love a woman who eats " .

He goes ahead and makes the orders . the two of us are gazing into each other's eyes in silence as we wait for our food .

" I can't wait to marry you and do this everyday " he expresses .

I blush , " how about we focus on today , no future talks or things like that ?" .

He frowns ," why ?,the future is always exciting " .

" You are not excited right now ?" .

He blushes letting his features fall , " I am , but I'm more excited for the day you become mine officially hence I can't refrain from talking about our future, it's all I ever think about, I can give in on any of your requests just not this , if you understand just how impatient I am to finally be with you then you'd let me be  " he explains.

I smile weakly," fine ,just this once I'll let you win , we can talk about the future all you want , happy?" .

He grins brightly reaching across the table to hold my hands , " very ".

" Great" I whisper smiling.

" Yeah great " he also whispers, we both chuckle.

" You look a lot like your dad when you laugh" he says .

" Is that a compliment?" .

" Of course, dad is very good looking and I can see that even as a man " .

" Ha I see , that reminds me , Aunt Rita asked me to greet you " .

" She did ?" .

" Yep , she said her favourite course wasn't on the menu ", I make quotations with my hands .

He laughs , " that Aunt of yours is a real weirdo , I'm pretty sure she hits on Ethan all the time too " .

" She used to but not anymore. Okay sometimes, she does sometimes when she has had too much to drink ".

" Is that so ?. how is dad ?".

" Good , he's doing alright " I answer .

" and Caitlyn ?"

" She's also fine , I was supposed to call her after she left but I didn't and now I can't turn my phone on " .

" You can use mine " .

" Really?, Thanks "  I snatch it from his hand .

I search for her number on his phone , " where is it ?, I don't see Caitlyn here " .

" Yeah no you won't find that name , try sister in law " he says unashamed.

I throw a look at him ," you are weird " .

" Of course I am " .

" Pssh " I shake my head disapprovingly at him.

Caitlyn doesn't wait a second later before picking up the phone , " hello?" Her anxious voice echoes.

" Hey Sis it's me " .

I can hear her breathe out ," thank goodness, I've been trying to call you but your phone was off ".

" Yeah sorry about that ,I had to switch it off to prevent Ethan from getting ahold of me , how did the goodbyes with dad go ?" .

"For the first time in history he didn't cry , he kept saying how at ease he is with Ethan being next to us , just because he saved mom's coffee shop dad is assuming that he still helps me out in whatever way he can , little does he know how conniving that bastard is" she snaps ...." Wait a minute, you are with Austin ?" Curiosity enhances in her tone.
