Chapter 31

" Nothing, I .. was watching the rain ".

If Ethan sees him then he'll surely make things difficult,I don't want Kam to be kicked out of his own project,I don't want to be one of those people who bring bad luck into other people's lives ,I've already done enough.

Without hesitation,I sternly close the curtain like I didn't even see him , I feel terrible like I'm leaving a part of me behind knowing that it won't catch up .

Recovering my face I turn around and smile at Ethan , he sheepishly smiles back at me .

I climb on the bed and start massaging his back , thirty minutes later he offers to massage mine and I agree.

" would it be a bad idea if I was involved in the planning of your dalfi ?" He asks.

" Since you and Caitlyn don't really get along ,it would".

" Should we stop by Caitlyn's apartment tomorrow? ".

His manly hands are softly caressing my back ,I wish he wouldn't stop , I can feel the tension in my mind already easing,I stopped thinking about Kam a while ago , I could just fall asleep.

" I don't know , if you think that's best ".

" I have to give her time so she can like me again" he says .

" I don't know" I snort ," bring your brother along and she might start liking you ".

" my brother?" .

" Isn't it obvious?".

" Whats obvious?, Does she have a crush on Eric".

" Mhmm " I disagree.

" Seth ?" His volume increases.

" Yep .did I just break sister code ?" .

He scoffs amused" What does she find interesting about Seth , he never smiles and has two kids , doesn't she mind being a step mother?".

" There's nothing wrong about being a step mother ".

" Of course you would think that but in all truth there's everything wrong with it , imagine living with a kid who is not yours , first of all when they call you mommy back in your mind you'll always be reminded they are not yours and secondly you'll be too afraid to scold them when they are being wrong because they'll label you as Cinderella's stepmom , some can even grow to hate you and then you wonder why you even bothered to waste your time and money on kids like them to, and lastly, it's uncomfortable to raise someone else's kid ,I personally would never do that , that's just something I told myself when I was young ,I saw the way I treated my stepmom and how I thought of her even though she did nothing wrong ".

I should offer him massages everyday if I can get him to talk to me like this.

" So you'd never father a child who is not your own ?" .

" Not even if the world was coming to an end".

I don't know why I feel deeply affected by what he just said.

" I see ".

" Maybe I should invite Seth and his kids to your dalfi then ".

" Oh don't, it won't make her like you , it will just make her nervous throughout the whole weekend " .

" Then she won't talk much or give me attitude, its final ,I'll invite Seth ".

I snort , " I'm not saying anything".

" If she hates me more then that's on her . I would've understood if she liked Eric, everyone likes Eric , he has a bubbly personality and is fun to be around, is it because he is not that good looking?".

" Hey !, Don't say that about your brother ".

" It's true , don't act like a saint, we used to gossip in highschool about his appearance  ".

" Did we ?, I don't remember ".

I hear him smirk," deny it all you want ".

" You can stop now , that's enough ,it's getting late"

" Okay" he stops.

" Is it me or did the temperature drop immensely ?" I ask

" I think its going to be like this for the rest of the week ".

" Really?, That's not nice ".

" It is" .

It's been a while since we have had a normal and soothing conversation like this , I actually feel like we are a married couple, I have a feeling that after therapy we will do much better.

I climb off the bed ," well .thanks for the massage Mr price".

" No thank you Mrs Price , you are a much better massager than I am ".

I smile," pleasure .goodnight then" .

" Don't you want to sleep here tonight?" His eyes are persuading" I hate the thunder " .

" One step at a time"  rejecting his idea .

I'm worried about how I'll delete the footages of Austin before Ethan sees them , how he made it past the security is what worries me .
