" Afternoon" she bows her head lightly.

" Hi " I'm a bit flustered, she's obviously going to beg me for their jobs back.

" Should we enter ?" she is wearing formal clothes like she is coming from work , a white shirt tucked in brown Pants .

There are four tables on the outside with gazebos for shade.

" Let's just sit here, I know the rumours about this place " ,there's only one car in the parking lot and I'm guessing it belongs to the owner .

" Sure " she smiles brightly.

" Where's your friend?" .

" She's at an interview".

" Really?, That's cool".

Her face falls ," I'm also coming from an interview myself".

" And that's bad ?" ,I was planning on being all rude but thats not me .

" I've been to 35 interviews around the country so far with my qualifications I'd expect to pass one of them but I've been rejected in all the different jobs in different cities that I've applied to " .

I can't help but study her features,I've never had a one on one this is the first time I'm seeing her from up close,she has almost the same features as my cousin Ashley , If she were to dye her hair pink I'm sure they'd look like twins .

She goes on and on about her failed interviews,the same has been happening with her best friend as well .

" There was a guy there whom I'd met years back at the interview I had today,he told me after the directors turned me down that Mr Price has been putting in extra effort to make sure that no one hires us ".

I chuckle gently," I get that Ethan is influential but I doubt he'd follow you girls around just to hinder you from getting hired that's not like him ".

" He made a promise to us the day he fired us that he'd make sure that we don't get hired and everytime we lend an interview that looks promising things take a turn for the worst , we all know that Mr Price always keeps his word " .

there's a number saved under Investigator that keeps calling him every now and then so there's a chance she's telling the truth .

" I'm not implying that you are lying,this is something that is very possible with Ethan but you and your friend are known for spreading false news so how am I supposed to trust what you are telling me ?, Even if I did what am I supposed to do about it ?"

She rubs her hands together and starts begging," can you please talk to Ethan for us , I've already lost my car and I'm about to lose my house,my family lives miles from here , I only have one meal a day that I get from the centre" ,she starts talking about how she used to be poor and promised herself that she'll study hard and work hard so that she will never find herself back there again and how her family is dependent on her and just like that she has won my sympathy.

" Okay okay fine , stop begging me like I'm God, honestly I thought I'd enjoy this moment but I don't, I don't take pleasure in drinking other people's cup of suffering, what happened is in the past and what matters is the future right? " I sigh not sure if this is the best decision," I'll talk to Ethan for you " .

" Thank you Mrs Price" I can see her heart leaping for joy through her eyes.

" No problem, are we done?" I prepare myself to leave.

" No actually.... I wanted to apologize,I wasn't going to but I feel obligated due to your kindness, for every lie and rumour I've spread about you , I never hated you , seeing the way Ethan treated you must've made us want to do the same because of how low we used to think of you , yes I did and probably still like Ethan but that wasn't it".

I laugh," even after he has made your lives a living hell you still have a crush on him ?".

We suddenly start talking like actual friends.

She laughs"well  He's cute and rich , who wouldn't like him ?,I feel a little bit embarrassed by that ".

" Don't be .I stayed even after everything it must be some sort of Ethan effect spell " we both chuckle.

" since we are already crossing boundaries on this subject , the truth is , I tried to make a move on your husband last year because I was so sure that he was genuinely interested in me but he turned me down like a 0 out of a hundred test score ".

" Why are you telling me this ?" I ask still smiling.

" I don't know I have this theory but I don't want to get you upset by it ".

" But I feel envious of you , you  have a husband who is willing to go the lengths for you , I think the boss started falling for you long before we realised why else has he been so faithful despite his actions towards you and here we are paying a heavy price for looking down on you ,he made sure that we regret the day we started thinking that we are above you ".

" I don't know, Ethan being faithful is just who he is ,that doesn't mean he fell for me besides you don't know our story so I'd appreciate it if you don't allow your mind to draw to conclusions that aren't real ".

She smiles ," right , sorry , and thank you again, I pray you get through to him , you are my only,or rather our only shot Mrs Price " .

" Sure , I'll try " , I bid her goodbye and be on my way back to the house .
