" No Caitlyn I can't let you get dragged into this " .

" Ethan already has ,he might even come after the whole family, right now I'm sure Uncle Jerry is rejoicing over this news, two heads are better than one remember ".

" I wish I listened to you and went for Austin instead now all of you are suffering because of me " I sit up straight.

" the same would've happened, seeing the way he is acting I think he would've found a way to manipulate you to stay or maybe do something worse to you like 'if I can't have you then no one else will ' vibes ".

" true , I just feel stupid for letting him play me like that , in all those years I've been with him I should've known that there's something wrong with him".

" there's no way you could've known that guy might be mentally unstable ,he is still the genius behind Price oils ".

"Anyways enough about him, like the doctor said 'no stress' . muffins and coffee? ,the weather is perfect for this combo " she says delighted.

" Sure " I try to smile like her.

" Great , I'll be right back ". She leaves for the cafeteria.

a young petite looking nurse follows into the room after Caitlyn with tons of syringes in her hands," Mrs Price" she bows lightly.

" No need to do that we are probably the same age , you can call me Lauren " .

She lets loose the moment I say that ," thank you I'm glad I did feel kind of weird about bowing before you".

" I'm not God so you are bound to feel weird about it ".

" I know, it's just we were told to treat you with the best care so I guess I kind of did the first thing that came to mind ".

I laugh with her ," no please don't feel tempted to do that in the future, it's a sin against God ".

" Yes Mam .. I mean Lauren I'll be sure to keep that in mind " . She starts taking my vitals " all is back to normal " she mutters then gives me all kinds of colourful medicines to take .

" we are going to keep you tonight, I'm sorry because that means you won't be next to your husband when he delivers his important speech later , I think it'll be the first time we all watch him without you beside him " .

Ever since the day started I keep hearing things that make me feel like I'm a slow processor because everything has to be repeated to me .

" Speech ?, What speech ?" .

" You don't know?, He posted about it an hour ago ,you were unconscious , probably why you didn't know about it but I'm sure he must've told you about it , everyone on social media is speculating on what it's about because he got every well known publication company on his list , all the news streamers on ASA will be there "

" no I wasn't aware actually  ".

" You can call and ask him can't you ?,it would be nice to hear the news before everyone else " she winks pleadingly.

" I'm sure he's too busy preparing but I'll be sure to call him before the broadcast starts ".

" Okay cool I'll be right back , you don't mind if I call my colleagues over to come and watch the broadcast with you ,it's obviously something big it would be a great honour to watch it with you " .

I nod politely," sure no problem, you gave me so many pills I think the show will end up watching me " .

She chuckles ," I did not think about that one. just between you and me , a bunch of the nurses are convinced he is going to give at least each person above the age of 18 in the country a thousand dollars but I sincerely doubt it since there's a baby on the way I'm sure he'll want to make sure it's future is secured " .

" We'll just have to see " I force a smile keeping a calm face, my soul is being strangled at this moment and there's nothing I can do to stop it since it's not something happening in the physical.

" All done... Okay Mrs Price,I'll tell all my friends so we can all be here by the time broadcast starts " she says brightly making her exit .

My family is experiencing such turmoil all because of me , I have aroused the monstrous Ethan and now he is coming after me , how could I possibly have misleaded myself into believing I could take him on? , he has all the board members at the palm of his hand that's why he was able to get my dad removed without cause , he is friends with almost all the politicians in this state , he makes millions everyday , women all over the world love him , he has all the power moves that exist and then there's me , I have nothing ,absolutely nothing and no one .

I'm certain that this speech is about me , he is going to finish me once and for all , I know how spiteful he can be so I know the power behind this last blow will leave me and everyone around me crippled, I can't let that happen, if he hears that I'm far away he might just let my family be- knowing that I will no longer be a threat .

" what do you say little one ?" I rub my stomach,' should we leave for the sake of the family to a distant land ' , I know I'm lying to the child, it's for mine and it's sake also , I want to give my baby a chance at a happy life ,this is the only way to ensure that we all live.

Without thinking too much about it - I grab my keys and change back into my clothes and put on a face mask , I sneak past the hospital staff , the security guy sees me but couldn't be bothered by my escape , in a matter of minutes I'm in my car already on my way to the airport.
