Caitlin’s grin quickly faded into a concerned stare, and she asked, “Where was she the night the particle accelerator exploded?”

I tried my hardest to remember, and I unsurely said, “I think she said she was at home watching it on TV, but she said a lot of weird things started happening to her after it.”

Caitlin furrowed her brows, and she bluntly stated, “I need to call Dr. Wells, right now.”

She stood up to reach for the phone on her desk, but I grabbed her wrist and begged, “I don’t want her to be treated like a lab rat, so please don’t call him. If she even has powers I don’t think she can control them consciously.”

“That’s exactly why he needs to know about this,” Caitlin said as she reached for the phone, and she sighed, “I’ll make sure Dr. Wells doesn’t go too far.” I nodded.

I sat next to Finn’s bedside waiting for her to wake up; because Caitlin said it would be any minute now. She was explaining to Cisco what was going on in the office, and I could hear Cisco’s hilarious commentary from the lab.

Suddenly, Finn began to squirm around, and she opened her big brown eyes. She looked around confused, but when she looked over at me I couldn’t help but to smile. “Hey,” I greeted.

Then, a smile slowly formed onto her face, and Finn excitedly asked, “Am I where I think I am?”

Caitlin pranced into the room to check her vitals, and greeted, “Welcome to Star-Labs.” Then Caitlin began to draw Finn’s blood, and do other tests.

Star-struck, Finn asked amazed, “How did I get here so fast?”

            Shit.

Finn

Barry stood out in the office area that was right outside the medical lab, and he was talking to a strangely familiar Hispanic, nerdy guy. Caitlin was writing down all the information she had gathered from my vital signs, so the room was awkwardly quiet.

Apparently something really strange had happened after I had fainted on the sidewalk, but nobody has the balls to tell me! What, did I do a back-flip?

Caitlin set down her clipboard, and started to detach the electrodes on my chest. “So can I take this oxygen tube off?” I asked placing my hands on the tube.

“Um,” Caitlin thought, and then came to the conclusion, “Keep it on until you have to move around, but when you leave you can take it off.” The room was silent for a minute, but Caitlin broke the silence by asking, “So you’re looking to work here at Star-Labs?”

“Yeah,” I awkwardly replied, “I was going to send in my application earlier, but then the particle accelerator did its thing.”

The sound of a motorized wheelchair interrupted the awkward silence, and a knock at the wooden door made Caitlin turn around. “Good morning, Dr. Wells,” She greeted in an almost nervous fashion.

Good morning Dr. Wells. Oh my god my childhood dream was finally coming true—I was finally meeting Dr. Harrison Wells. Thank god I wasn’t still hooked up to the heart monitor, because if I was it would read like I was having a heart attack!

“Good morning, Dr. Snow,” Dr. Wells reciprocated, and he wheeled past her and to the right of my bed. He was tall (even from sitting in that wheelchair), wore all black, had black hair with tiny flecks of grey, he had black rimmed glasses, and his face looked similar to Barry’s.

Dr. Wells looked at me directly in the eyes, and he greeted with a smiled, “Hello Miss . . .,” He paused trying to remember my name.

“Finn Carter,” I suggested shyly, because I couldn’t believe that I was actually talking to Harrison Wells!

“Miss Carter,” Harrison greeted, and stuck out his hand for me to shake. HOLY SHIT I WAS TOUCHING MY IDOL! I grasped his hand, there was a tiny shock of electricity, and I shook his hand with my regained confidence.

Nervously but confident, I greeted, “Hello Dr. Wells.”

“I understand that you were with Mr. Allen when you had an incident, could you tell me about it?” Harrison asked kindly.

I explained, “We were walking out of the coffee shop and down the street when this red getaway car was speeding down the road followed by a bunch of cop cars—it was mostly on the sidewalk, though. Neither of us noticed it, because we were talking about swinging by here if we could. Then, when the car was about ten feet in front of us, I started to get really lightheaded and I felt the air sucked out of my lungs, and before I passed out I swear on my life I saw that car fly over us.”

He looked at me inquisitively, and I would have too because the car flying over us would have been physically impossible “You think I’m crazy, don’t you?” I sighed, because I had just made a complete fool of myself in front of Dr. Wells.

“No,” Harrison said puzzled, “However, I do think that we should run some tests, because it sounds like you have a remarkable ability that you have yet to unlock.”

“Like a superpower?” I asked with a laugh, because he had to be joking.

“Exactly like that,” Harrison stated with a slight smirk.
