I walked the corridor from the bunker where the breach was to my lab, and I held both of my newly improved RING devices on my arms. This time, I had added for tachyon fuel cells to the rings, making a triple layer inside of both of them, so now, speedsters and humans alike could travel through time.
Walking to my lab, I saw Harry fiddling with his watch that detects metahumans, and I greeted, "Oh, hey Harry."
"Hey," he replied, "You're here late."
I sat RING-1 and 2 on my desk, and stated, "So are you." Sitting down in my chair, I opened my application on my tablet for RING-2; I turned off the deice I had on my desk, and turned on the one I had left with Cisco. "Watch this," I laughed.
Then, I shoved my arm through the glowing, blue portal in RING-1, and from Cisco's lab down the hall, we heard a loud, girlish scream. "AH! FINN STOP!" Cisco yelled from his lab.
Laughing, I turned off the device.
"Shouldn't you be out . . .," Harry suggested, using strange hand motions, "doing whatever it is that twenty-five-year-olds do on a Thursday night?"
I chuckled, explaining sarcastically, "Um, have you forgot that I'm the owner of this place. So I sort of have an obligation to make RING perfect so you can go back home to Earth-2."
Harry replied coldly, "You understand that for me, my Earth is Earth-1?"
I rolled my eyes, "Yes, Harry."
"Your Earth has yet to create CFL quark matter, and so it would take you too long to catch up on the science haul."
Raising my eyebrow, I stated, "I just figured out time and interdimensional travel, I'm pretty sure that creating CFL quark matter will be a walk in the park.

The next day, I roamed the halls of Star-Labs looking for Barry and Cisco, because I saw them come in but I knew that Cisco was trying to hide from me and RING. Scaring the crap out of him with it is so much more fun than you'd think.
I heard the elevator doors open, so I quickly ran to find Cisco telling Barry all about his new metahuman app, "See the app just went live."
"Hey you two," I grinned at them.
Cisco glared at me, placed his and on Barry's shoulder. He whispered, "Don't trust her with RING." Barry looked at both of us, confused, and Cisco just continued explaining his app, "So, you can sync up all social media postings about metahuman activity. Somebody sees something cray in Central City, we get an alert about it."
All three of us walked into the Cortex, and Barry laughed, "Yo, dude, you have too much time on your hands."
"Oh," Cisco laughed, "I thought you were going to say it was cool."
I chuckled, "Hey," I punched Barry in the arm, "you can't judge him, because you watched the entire season of Attack on Titan yesterday when we got home."
"Now who has too much time on their hands," Cisco laughed, and greeted, "Hey Harry." He didn't respond; he was unusually grumpy these last few weeks.
Barry questioned, "Wait, so if that app gives you eyes and ears all over the city, then why don't you use it to find the next Ms. Right?"
I grabbed my slushee from my desk, and followed Barry and Cisco to the computer so Barry could run his sample.
"Wait. Did I just make the metahuman Tinder?" Cisco asked himself, "Nope, not starting that fetish."
Standing next to Barry, I wrapped my arms around his right arm, and drank my slushee as I watched him scroll through his Facebook feed. He looked at my slushee, and I suggested, "Want some?"
Barry took the drink from my hand, sucking the contents from the straw, and Cisco groaned, "Ew, you're sharing germs."

I leaned back in my chair in the Cortex eating my leftover Chinese food for lunch, Cisco glanced back to see Barry walking in looking upset. "So I ran your sample from Sunday six different ways and—"
"Honey, what's wrong?" I asked kindly.
Barry sighed, "Harry just yelled at me out of nowhere, it was nothing."
I raised my eyebrow, "Were you pestering him?"
"Yeah," Barry answered sheepishly.
I chuckled, "There's your reason."
Cisco explained to Barry, "I found two things, very strange." Caitlin joined us. "One, definitely metahuman cells in the oil."
"And two, he didn't die from his burns," Caitlin explained, "It was suffocation."
Barry repeated, "Suffocation?" He looked at the data on the computer screen, "That makes sense actually. The burns indicated that the body was covered in something."
I explained, "Cross-referencing O2 levels in the organic matter, we found a direct match to animals trapped and preserved in an asphalt seep. He was basically fossilized."
"Whoa," Barry mumbled, "So whoever killed him is like a walking . . ."
Cisco exclaimed, "Tar pit!"
Barry said to Caitlin, "So he's basically drowning them in tar." She nodded, "God, that's a horror show. Why did he target Daniel Burge?"
Then, Cisco's phone began to blare dramatic music, startling all of us. "Oh," he explained, grinning, "that's my metahuman social media app. That's right." Checking his app, Cisco alerted, "There's an attack in progress. Sixth and Bell, downtown."

Barry and I were lying in bed, cuddling after having some fun, and I was thinking. Something was up with him. I turned over to face Barry, who was almost falling asleep, so I almost didn't disturb him since he looked so damn cute.
Gently, I pressed my lips against his forehead, and Barry opened his eyes. "Hey," I whispered.
"Hey," he replied, yawning.
Quietly, I asked, "Are you feeling alright? Like, do you feel sick or anything?"
Barry laid down on his back, and I scooted closer to him. "I've just been kind of tired lately, why?" he replied, placing his hands behind his head.
"Don't get offended," I explained, drawing shapes on his chest, "but sex wasn't as good as it usually is."
"Really? You seemed to have been enjoying it." Barry chuckled.
I cringed, "I did, but something was off."
"I'll ask Caitlin about it tomorrow," he sighed.
I laughed, "Please leave out the sex part."
"No," Barry laughed.
