I stood alongside Cisco and Joe waiting for Eobard Thawne to go home, and it hurt. The way to describe everything that's going on is that you know you are going to die, because you're scared and not at the exact same time.
Within two minutes, two men that I loved were leaving me, but I would never remember. Everything is going to be so different, and what if in the new universe I don't even live in Central City; what if I live in Ohio?
Eobard paced around the time machine that all of us had made for him, and he was in his Reverse Flash suit. "It's beautiful," He smiled, "Rip Hunter would be impressed. He built the first one of these—interesting man."
The wormhole roared, and flying out from the small hole I had brought it down to was a silver helmet with two lightning bolts on each side. "What the hell is that?" Joe asked confused while still pointing his gun at Eobard.
"That's my cue to leave," Eobard chuckled, and approached Cisco. "Thank you, Cisco," He smiled.
Cisco stared at the floor, "Don't ever come back."
Eobard looked hurt by Cisco's comment, but his eyes darted to me; he stood in front of me. "I'm sorry, Finn," He said quietly, "but I want you to know that I still love you. So," Eobard took my hand, "just one more kiss?"
I hesitated, but he deserved this.
Holding the side of his face, I stood on my tip-toes, and I pressed my lips to his. Then, the thought hit me like a train: You do love him. You were trying to trick him, but you ended up tricking yourself.
Eobard pulled his face away first, and slid his reverse flash ring off of his finger. "Here," He dumped the gold ring into my hand, "Keep it."
"I can't keep th—" I insisted.
He smiled, "Just take it."
I slid the ring onto my right index finger since it was the only one it could fit on, and I looked into his eyes and said softly, "Don't forget about us, ok?"
"I won't," He whispered, but then quickly returned back to his time machine; the door engulfed the pod Eobard was sitting in, and then it lifted off of the ground with a loud whirring sound.
Over the speaker, Stein reminded, "Thirty seconds."
The pod faced the wormhole, and my heart pounded within my chest screaming, 'Wait! Let me go with you!' Then, the wormhole roared, and with a very bright light, a red streak flew out from the portal smashing the time machine.
Quickly, I lied onto the floor with my arms covering my head, and I reconnected to the hole—this time was much easier since I was now accustomed to the crushing sensation in my brain. Shards of glass and scraps of metal flew everywhere.
The world shook, which indicated to me that it was now time to close the wormhole, so I lifted myself off of the ground and focused on shutting the damn thing. Then, a bit too quickly, the blue portal closed.
Barry and Eobard were lying at opposite sides of the accelerator while Joe and Cisco were trying to come to their senses, so I sprinted to the right where Barry was and knelt down next to him. "Barry," I grinned helping him to his feet, "I thought you were gone forever."
He stood up holding both of my hands, and Barry smiled as wide as he could, "I couldn't leave you."
"You didn't save her?" Eobard hissed, "Why?" He threw a large piece of glass, "Why! You could have had the life you wanted; you could have had everything you ever wanted!"
