Wally and Jesse asked through the video chat, "Can we come out now?"
"No!" Harry and Joe said at the same time, making me chuckle.
Joe, Harry, Henry, and I were impatiently waiting for Barry to make up his mind about the accelerator in the Cortex, and apparently, he'd just talked it over with Iris.
I was at my computer working on the accelerator in the meantime, but I suddenly got a pop-up notification that was angrily beeping at me.
"Hey, something's blinking," Joe alerted us.
I opened the message from an unknown sender, and it said in all caps, "RUPTURE ATTACK JITTERS 2NITE." Quickly, I tracked the location of the sender, and was shocked to find it coming from CCPD.
"It's coming from CCPD," Harry stated.
"It's Caitlin," I announced, happy to know she was okay for the time being.
Barry entered the Cortex, hearing only me. "What about Caitlin?" he asked, confused for his friend.
"She sent us a message. Rupture is going to attack Jitters tonight," Joe explained nervously. "We've got to move, Barry."
Henry asked his son, uneasy, "What are you going to do, slugger?"
I looked at Barry, trying to telepathically send my agenda over to him. "Having the Flash might be the best way to stop Zoom and the metas he's sending over, but look, Finn, until we know for sure that setting off the accelerator will work, it's too risky. And not just for me, for the entire city. Countless others that would be affected if the explosion is not contained," Barry ranted.
I cut him off, "Bar, the explosion will be contained."
"Stop, Finn!" he argued, "Look, I'm sorry, but I've made up my mind." Barry apologized once more as he saw my anger and frustration boiling inside me, "I'm sorry . . . We're going to half to figure out how to do this without the Flash."
________
It was a massacre.
After Rupture had failed to eliminate the CCPD, Zoom showed up and killed everyone inside Jitters except for Barry, Joe, and Captain Singh. Then, Zoom outed the Flash as just being a hologram and being gone forever.
We were so unbelievably screwed.
"It won't be long now," Harry explained solemnly. "He's moving faster than he ever did on my earth."
"So, what's next?" Iris asked, defeated.
"Next, he'll recruit every metahuman he can find and force them to do what he wants," he explained.
Joe asked, frustrated, "How many could be left? We defeated most of them, didn't we?"
I shook my head, "No, we're not even close," I said sadly.
Harry plugged in his USB stick into one of the computers, and explained, "This is a list of the metahumans from my earth . . . ones that are known, anyway. The particle accelerator explosion was contained on my earth, but that didn't happen here."
Henry asked, confused, "Then why wouldn't we know about other metahumans here?"
"Because of the Flash," I explained, looking at Barry. He had a strong look of depression painted across his face, and he was thinking. "And now that they know the Flash is gone, they'll start coming out of the woodwork."
