All of us were in Barry's lab at CCPD preparing for our lucid dream experiment with Cisco and the glasses I helped Caitlin design earlier that day, and it was very safe to say that Cisco was beyond nervous to relive this dream.
"Okay," Cisco asked pacing the lab, "Can we go over this one more time?"
Caitlin explained, "Yeah, you put the glasses on, fall asleep, and start dreaming. Not that hard."
"Yeah," He snorted, "Except I'm pretty sure I die in this dream. If I go back into it, am I going to die in real life? I mean, what are we talking about here? Is this Inception or Dreamscape?"
With Barry's arms wrapped around my waist, I laughed, "Both."
Joe handed Cisco a glass of warm milk, and he instructed, "Here, drink this."
"Why?" Cisco laughed, "Am I five?"
"Just drink it," Joe sighed.
Cisco said fast, "Okay, I'll drink it."
He looked nervous, so I tried to comfort him by saying, "I'm sure you'll be fine, Cisco."
Barry leaned his head near my ear, and he whispered, "Unless he accidentally opens up a worm hole to the alternate universe and all of us get sucked into it."
I stamped Barry's foot, "Shut up," I whispered harshly.
"All right," Cisco sighed getting up onto the bed next to the monitor, "I think I'm ready."
Caitlin picked up the gold and black glasses from their stand, and placed them onto Cisco's face while explaining, "The glasses are emitting a low-level delta wave, which should help you fall asleep."
The glasses powered on. "Okay," Cisco said getting progressively sleepier, "I've got to warn you though; usually it takes me a long time. I mean...I'm not saying I'm like...an insomniac or any..." Then, he was completely out-cold.
Joe laughed, "Ah, so that's how you get him to shut up."
I suggested, "Or just put on Game of Thrones."
Caitlin explained, "He's entering REM. It's working."
Barry unwrapped his arms from my waist, and approached the bed Cisco was lying in. "Cisco," Barry asked, "Can you hear me? You're dreaming, bud."
"Whoa," Cisco said quietly, "You guys, this is mad freaky."
"Okay," Barry stuttered, "Um, where are you?"
I joined Barry at the bed to ask some questions next, "Um, in the cortex," Cisco explained, "I mean, I know I'm just dreaming that I'm in the cortex, but it feels so real."
I asked, "What are dream you and me doing?"
"Caitlin just left," He explained, "I asked her to take Wells to Jitters."
Barry asked curiously, "Why do you want Wells out of the lab?"
Cisco replied, "We think he might have tampered with my work. We need to check," there was a pause, "Okay, I'm walking to the bunker. Oh man, I love this shirt, I thought the dryer ate it," Joe snorted.
"Focus, Cisco," Barry instructed.
"All right," He continued, "Now we're running tests on the containment system. This data...it doesn't make any sense-Finn was right," I smirked, "All the supercapacitors...they were all still fully charged. There's absolutely no reason that the man in yellow should have escaped," There was a pause, "Oh my god, it was just a hologram, he tricked us," Cisco sounded much more panicked, "Oh god Wells is here!"
