Everyone, Barry, Cisco, Caitlin, Joe, Iris, Eddie, and I, stood in front of the doors to the particle accelerator. I was wearing my lucky Jurassic Park t-shirt, but not even it would be able to ease the pain.
Barry had chosen to go back in time and save his mother, so there is a great chance that nobody here will ever meet—including Barry and I. Everyone's lives would be different, and absolutely no one would be able to remember the past time line.
It fucking sucks that you are literally just waiting for this time to end. It's like knowing you're going to die today, and you have to wait all day for the executioner.
Caitlin hugged Barry tightly, and I stood next to Cisco trying to keep from crying in front of everyone. Cisco approached Barry and explained, "Okay, so there are going to be three yous back there: the you from the future who saved younger you from the Reverse Flash and now you-you. Remember, wait until future you gets younger you out of there, and then you can go and save your mom."
Barry smirked, "Piece of cake."
"May the speed force be with you," Cisco chuckled.
Barry turned to Joe, and placed his hand on his shoulder, "Goodbye, Dad."
Quickly, Joe took Barry into a hug, and sniffled, "Goodbye, son."
"Iris," Barry sighed.
She cut him off, "You don't have to say anything, I already know," Then, Iris cupped the sides of his face, and gave Barry a loving kiss on the forehead. "I hope whatever life you get is enough for you and makes you happy," Iris whispered.
Barry glanced at me, and I was hiding the fact that I was crying with a smile. I walked to him as the door to the accelerator opened, and both of us slowly entered the large tube that held our metahuman prison cells and Barry's ticket to a better life.
The door firmly shut, and I threw my arms around Barry's neck as I quietly sobbed. "Finn," Barry whispered holding back his emotions, "I don't-I don't have to do this."
"Stop talking," I weakly laughed before I pressed my lips against Barry's, and he played with the soft waves in my hair. I pulled my lips away from his, rested our foreheads on one another, and I whispered, "Bar, I want you to save her. Stop thinking about me, stop thinking about Joe, stop thinking about Iris, and start thinking about yourself for once in your life. If fate wants you to meet all of us, then so be it."
Barry held my waist, and I unfastened the clamp on my Star of David necklace; then, I placed it around Barry's neck, and he asked, "What are you doing?"
I smiled, "When King David was in battle, it's said that he was protected by the star on his shield, so he couldn't be defeated. I want you to have my star so David can protect you."
"I love you," Barry whispered holding the sides of my face.
I smiled genuinely, "I love you too." I pressed my lips against his one final time in this universe, and both of us couldn't help to not cry. I pulled my face away from Barry's, and I smiled with tears running down my face, "It's ok, Bar."
Barry looked into my eyes for what seemed like a long time, but he quickly zoomed down to the floor where he talked with Stein over the headset.
I walked to Eobard's cell so he could coach me on how to keep the wormhole open and closed since it was so unstable, but he was also there to be my emotional support during our last two minutes on this Earth. At the top of his cell was a hatch; I carefully stepped off of the long platform onto the metal cell, and I opened the heavy hatch.
Eobard stood directly below staring up at me, "What?" He laughed, "You don't think I'll catch you?" I rolled my eyes, and then I sat down and slid my legs towards Eobard's arms; he held my legs and said, "I've got you."
"Like that's reassuring," I mumbled under my breath as I dropped down into the cell.
His arms wrapped around my upper thighs and butt as I fell, so I dug my fingernails into his shoulders to tell him to let go and my feet collided with the metal floor.
"Stop acting like you hate me, Finn," Eobard sighed, and I had my arms folded across my chest as I stared out the window. I took deep breaths as I watched Barry walk around the ring talking to Stein over his ear piece.
I huffed, "Just tell me what to do."
"Alright," Eobard explained as he stood next to me, "Barry's going to collide with the hydrogen particle somewhere in the ring, and you need to feel the world around you so you know when it happens; close your eyes and relax," I did what he told me to do, and he stood behind me, "I'm going to need to hold you just in case you fall," His hands held my waist, "Once you feel the wormhole open, use all of your energy to keep it stable until it can hold itself."
Then, a loud bang and shaking happened within the ring indicating Barry had reached mach-2, but I tried to keep calm.
Within my head I could see a vague outline of the accelerator ring with a yellow streak running inside of it, and engulfing the streak was a blue halo with images flying quickly through it. "It's working," Eobard whispered, "You're doing it."
Then, with a bright light and intense crushing sensation in my head, my knees gave out below me, and I opened my eyes to see a massive, swirling opening in front of us. My hands clenched my head as I felt the crushing intensify, but the wormhole grew larger and larger as I concentrated even more.
"The wormhole is stable!" Stein said over the speakers, "The wormhole is stable!"
I let go, and a massive wave of blood ran into my head.
Barry... he was gone.
"Bar," I whispered as tears silently crashed to the floor, "Barry." Eobard let go of my waist, and I was able to stand on my own. "Barry...," I cried quietly.
I turned to look at Eobard, and he looked like he was expecting me to hit him—he was so wrong. I flung my arms around his neck as I became a limp ragdoll, so he held me against his chest as I bawled.
He rubbed the back of my head in a loving manor, and he begged, "Finn . . . please."
