There was a pause, "Finally, I knew how to defeat you once and for all. Travel back in time, kill you as a child, wipe you from the face of the Earth, but then you (future you, that is) followed me back," He laughed, "and we fought. We both landed some pretty solid shots, and then you (future you) got your younger self out of there and I was so mad! But then I thought, 'What if you were to suffer a tragedy? What if you were to suffer something so horrible, so traumatic to your child self that you could never recover and you would not become the Flash? So I stabbed your mother in the heart, and I was free.
"Finally able to return to a future without the Flash, only to realize when traveling back, I lost my way home. I lost my ability to harness the speed force, and without it, I was stuck here, stranded in this time, unable to return to my own, and the only way back was the Flash. But, the Flash was gone, and so I created him."
Barry was extremely upset, "Why train me? Why help me save so many people?"
Eobard hissed, "Because I needed you to get fast. Fast enough to rupture the space-time barrier and create a stable wormhole through which I could return home."
"Why would I ever do that?" Barry asked quietly.
Eobard smirked, "Because, Barry Allen, if you give me what I want, I'm going to give you what you want," He paused, "You can go back and save your mother. You can prevent your father from going to prison. You can reunite the Allen family."
"No," Barry shook his head angrily, "No, I don't believe you," Another pause, and Barry snarled, "I want to kill you right now."
Eobard said calmly, "I know that rage. I used to feel that rage every time I looked upon you, and now, somehow, I know what Joe, Henry, and Finn feel when they look on you with pride...with love."
"No!" Barry yelled banging on the glass, "No! Don't you ever say that to me!"
He sighed, "I know you're upset, but I'm giving you a chance. I'm giving you a chance to undo all the evil I've done. Don't you want that chance?"
Only a few seconds elapsed before Barry was storming down the hall, and when he saw me out of the corner of his eye, he stopped. "What are you doing down here?" Barry asked confused.
"Cisco said you were down here talking to...him," I lied, "and I just wanted to make sure you were ok. Are you ok?"
Barry sighed, "I'm alright. I think I'm going to go home for a while, but I can take you too if you want."
"I'm fine for now," I replied, "but you seem like you need to blow off some steam," I placed my hand into Barry's, "Guess what?"
Barry laughed, "You better not say chicken butt."
"Not what I had in mind, but I like the way you think," I smirked and paused, "I love you."
He smiled, "I love you too," and pressed his lips against mine.
"Alright," I lied, "I need to run a few tests while I'm down here, and you need to go home and take a powernap before we call you again."
Barry smiled, let go of my hand, and zoomed away up the stairs.
God, I hate lying to his pretty face.
----
I stood with my back pressed against the hallway wall thinking of what I should say, if I should even do this, or if somebody (aka. Cisco) was watching. He just needs to know that I didn't mean for all of this to happen.
Taking a deep breath, I walked into the particle accelerator, and then up to the key pad to view the prisoners. I typed in his name, and paused before I pressed view.
Do I really want to do this? Yes, I do.
I pressed view, stood in front of the doors, and waited for the doors to open. Then, the hydraulics let cold air out as the heavy door lifted up, and staring at me from the ground was Eobard.
He sat on the floor of the cell with his arm resting on his knee, and he stared at me unyieldingly. I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out as I panicked.
"What do you want now?" He snapped.
I froze, and sputtered, "I-uh...I-I," I knelt on the floor in front of the cell and said quietly, "...I didn't mean for any of this to happen...I'm sorry."
Eobard glared, "How do I know you're not lying to me again?"
"Eoba—," I pleaded but was cut off.
He snarled, "You manipulated me into doing whatever you wanted by saying you loved me," he paused, "Tell me why I should ever trust you again?"
I wiped the tears coming from my eyes, "Because I'm sorry, I'm so fucking sorry."
"You know," He smirked, "it may seem that I hate you, but I don't. You were so good at lying to me that I fell in love with you to the point that I could never hate you—I hate that."
I sighed, "Please, please don't," I slid two of my fingers into the air/sound holes at the bottom of the cell.
"Don't what?" Eobard snapped, "Don't tell you that what you did was fucked up? Don't tell you that you broke my heart? Don't tell you that I still love you?" He sat in front of the glass, and held my two fingers with his hand.
I rested my head against the glass, and I let the tears flow down my cheeks. "I just want to help you get home," I sniffled.
"Come with me, then," He said quietly, "I'll find a way to let you come back to this time whenever you want, but please come with me. This time isn't right for you, but 2191 is."
I wiped the tears and running makeup from my eyes, and I whispered, "I can't, and you know I can't."
Eobard gently stroked my fingers, and he stated, "You can, but you're paying too much attention to the cons to see the pros."
"I'm sorry," I cried quickly standing up and turning to walk away, "I just can't."
I quickly walked away with my arms folded across my chest, and Eobard stood up leaning against the glass. "Finn," He whispered as I walked away, "Finn please."
