He sighed, "I don't know. It doesn't make any sense. She was always so nice to him."
Harry and I both looked around extremely confused, because neither of us had any clue what Grodd was or what his motives were. "He mind-controlled two lab technicians to steal chemicals that enhance intelligence. He wants her for something," Joe explained.
"Well, looks like he left his bachelor pad in the sewers," Cisco sighed.
"Gross's a big-ass gorilla," Joe said, "He can't just waltz through downtown in the middle of the day without anybody noticing."
Harry nodded his head. "Right, and if there's been sightings, then we might be able to approximate his location."
Joe suggested, "I can call CCPD. They can access the tip hotline, send over files of Grodd's recent attacks."
"Perfect," I replied.
"We've got to get her back," Cisco stated.
Harry replied, "We will." He left for Caitlin's lab, so I followed Cisco to his.
His cluttered mess was everywhere in the large room, but I did see a few promising inventions scattered on the tables. "Hey," I chuckled, sitting down on the spare swivel chair, "You can to fill me in on whatever the hell Grodd is?"
"As you could see," he laughed as he explained, "Grodd is a big-ass gorilla who in super smart and can control minds. A long time ago, he was Eiling's and Wells 1's test monkey, but Wells decided to stop with the testing and I guess let him go."
I questioned, "Right, and I assume that you guys fought him while I was with Eobard."
"Bingo," Cisco said.
"Alright, giant, talking, hyper-intelligent, mind-controlling gorillas," I huffed, "What else is new?"
________
I drank my cup of espresso as I programmed the algorithm Harry and I made to try to find Grodd, but I was not having fun since algorithms are my least favorite thing to do.
"I can't do this anymore," I stated, resting my head in my hands. "You can finish it, Harry."
He looked at the data, and said, "You're almost done, just finish it."
"No thank you." I stood up from the computer, and explained, "I hate these things." Harry rolled his eyes, and sat down at my computer to finish the algorithm.
Cisco walked back into my lab holding a bowl of reheated pasta, and glanced over Harry's shoulder as he worked. "What kind of algorithm is that?" he asked.
I explained, "It's an algorithm meant to extrapolate Grodd's location from places we know he's already been."
The computer beeped multiple times, and highlighted three points on the map. "Hello," Harry whispered.
"There we have it," Cisco replied.
I got up, taking a long drink of my espresso, and stated, "I'll go get Barry." Placing the lid back onto the cup, I tried my best to run from my lab to Caitlin's, but I really was doing the "fat-guy shuffle".
Henry and Barry were in the lab going over Barry's test results, and hopefully Henry was able to convince Barry that he was fine. I leaned against the doorway gasping for breath, "Hey guys," I stated, "I think-I think we found them."
"Yeah?" Barry quickly got back onto his feet using his cane, and he and Henry followed me back to my desk in the Cortex.
Pulling the algorithm up onto the screen, I explained, "Grodd has to be in one of these three bell towers. The only reason we couldn't find him on any cameras underneath the city before is, in Cisco's words, 'cause he upgraded from a bachelor pad to a penthouse, like a baller.'"
"Okay," Barry sighed, "so we know where he is. We still don't know how to get her."
I smirked, "Cisco's got a plan for you."
"What's his plan?" Barry questioned, noticing my smirk. I shrugged my shoulders.
From the entrance of the Cortex, a yellow suited figure loomed behind us. On his chest, a black and red lightning emblem contrasted starkly with his electric yellow suit, and the suit itself gave off a familiar energy.
"We use me," a voice sounding like Eobard stated.
My heart pounded. I turned around, and standing in the doorway was . . . Eobard. He stared at all of us, but I could instantly sense that there was something not quite right.
In fury, Barry slammed "Eobard" against the wall behind him, and held his forearm against his throat. Cisco ran from the end of the hallway, and I shouted as I ran to Barry, "It's not him, Barry!"
"That's Harry!" Cisco explained, trying to pull him away, "That's the other Wells!"
As Cisco tried to pull Barry away from Wells, I grabbed on to Harry's arm and tried to wriggle him out of Barry's grasp. "Barry," Harry groaned.
"Let him go," Cisco demanded, "Let him go."
Harry pushed up the mask, and Barry slowly backed off. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry," Barry murmured.
I met Barry's side, and placed my hand on his back. "We found another suit in the Time Vault," Cisco explained.
"I thought he was dead," Henry questioned, analyzing Harry.
I swallowed the lump in my throat, and replied quietly, "He is dead."
Barry brought me close to his side, and hugged me tightly. He explained to Henry, "This is . . . this is Harrison Wells from Earth-2."
"Earth-2?" Henry was confused.
"I'll explain later," Barry stated.
Quickly, I tried to woman-up, and bravely asked, "So what's your plan?"
Cisco quickly explained, "If we can get Harry to convince Grodd that he's Wells, that he's his father, maybe we can convince him to let Caitlin go."
Barry nodded his head, and explained, "I'm not going to be able to help if anything goes wrong."
Releasing myself from Barry's grip, I suddenly blurted out, "I'll go with you guys." Barry looked at me shocked and confused, so I explained to him quickly, "If anything goes wrong I can help them," I chuckled, "plus, I want to see this big-ass gorilla."
