"Unless we find those bombs," Jay tried to calm her down.
Cisco stated, "There's no way we can—"
I cut him off, "There is a way."
"To find a hundred randomly-placed bombs?" Cisco argued.
I explained, getting up from my desk to put my coat on, "We don't have to find all one hundred. We just need to find one and then we can get rid of them all."
"How?" Caitlin questioned, confused. I stuffed my tablet and files into my backpack before throwing it over my shoulder.
Harry answered for me, "A breach. We sent Grodd away, we can do the dame to these bombs, all of them."
I instructed, "Get the drone from your workshop, Cisco!" Then, I started running to my lab to get the newly improved speed cannons I was working on.
________
Harry drove the van as fast as he could, and Cisco was on the computer explaining, "I'm cross-referencing credit card statements with toll road usage and families with children under ten. Hold up! Make a U-turn. Two streets back."
Whipping the van around, we drove to the house nearest to a breach, and parked it on the side of the road. Both Harry and I exited the car, and ran to the front door of the child's house.
Harry knocked on the door, and opening it was a little boy with a Santa Claus hat on. He looked up at us confused, so Harry bluntly demanded, "Your toys. Give them to me."
The little boy looked terrified.
"Harry," I hissed, and then crouched down to the boy's level. "You know the Flash?" the little boy nodded, "He needs you to give us the present that Santa gave you today to us. It's for a super-secret mission he's on, and it's going to help him stop . . . Jim, the Destroyer."
The little boy replied shyly, "Uh okay," and disappeared back into the house.
I glanced up at Harry and chuckled, "That's how you talk to kids." The boy came back to the front door holding a green box in his hands. Quickly, I pulled out the Flash action figure I was going to give to my nephew, and exchanged it for the green box. "The Flash wants you to have this."
________
Barry was talking to Joe in the Cortex before we left for the Christmas party at Joe's, and I was in the lab watching Harry work on something in the treadmill room facing away from me.
Barry was right with what he had told me two days ago: I needed closure.
I touched Eobard's ring on my hand, glanced down at it, and back up at Harry. "I know you're not him . . .," I whispered my monologue, "but he's not here anymore and I have to say this for me. In the video you left for me, you said that you just wanted me to be happy after you were gone . . ." A lump formed in my throat, and I tried to swallow it. "And I've been trying . . . I've been trying so hard to be happy and forget about everything. You're still in my heart after all this time, and I hate that." I wiped away the tears from my eyes. "Being happy and loving you at the same time isn't working no matter how hard I try to make it work. I can't . . . love you anymore."
Harry turned around to see me watching him. "Do you need me for something?" he asked over the PA.
"No, no. It's fine," I fumbled with my words, "You know, Joe's having a Christmas party tonight, and I thought you should come with us. You shouldn't have to be alone."
