Chapter 118

"No," Barry explained, "but more importantly, they don't even know that it's Caitlin yet, so we need to find her before they do."

I sat down at the console, chugged the last of my coffee in the cup, and tried to think of why Caitlin would take Julien captive .

HR raised his hand, holding a drumstick, and stated, "Savitar. Now, what about this Savitar character?"

Barry, growing frustrated with HR, snapped, "Let's find Caitlin, and then we can worry about Savitar."

"You know guys, I agree with Barry, let's find Caitlin," HR repeated like a parrot. This was not the time to be a dumbass, HR.

I picked up a pencil holder and threw at HR to make him stop talking and to hopefully scare him off—this was a mannerism that I had adopted from being around Harry too much. Unfortunately, HR ducked, and the pencils and pens flew all over the room.

"Okay, you're right but when we find Caitlin then what?" Iris asked.

Barry shrugged, "I don't know. I mean, she's not thinking straight, she's—"

"She's becoming Killer Frost," Cisco sighed, "It's just like in the Vibe."

I leaned back in my chair, and huffed, "We don't know that yet."

"Her mother said that the more that she uses her powers, the faster she's going to go," Cisco argued. "Saving you from Savitar must have put her over the edge."

Barry clenched his jaw, and asked "How do we find her?"

"I tried pinging her cell and Julien's, but she must have destroyed them both," I explained.

HR cleared his throat loudly, "If I may offer a notion."

"Oh great," Cisco sarcastically cheered, "another suggestion from the genius over here."

HR blushed, "You don't call the genius, the genius calls you." I should have sent him back to Earth-19 when I had the chance. "Question! How did you catch your Captain Cold? I remember reading about him in your files. He seems like a wily fellow, slow talker, but his MO, strikingly similar to our dear Caitlin's.

Our first run in with Captain Cold was before I joined Team Flash.

"What? No, we tracked him using the satellite's scan for ultraviolet cold-signatures," Cisco realized what HR was getting at. Barry and Iris joined us behind the desk, and Cisco opened the satellite program to search for Caitlin. "No," he stated, "nothing near the precinct."

I scanned the satellite map with my eyes, looking for any anomaly possible. "Wait, what's that?" I asked, placing my finger on the bright white spot.

"Frozen food warehouse," Iris explained.

Cisco then hacked into the security cameras at the warehouse, and in the main room was Caitlin and Julien. "There she is," he stated. "Okay, I'm going to isolate the feed so that no one else can see it."

Barry held my shoulder and explained, "Alright, figure out what she's making Julien do, I'm going." He kissed the side of my head before running off.

Julien was safe. Barry knocked him out before Caitlin could hurt him, but the same couldn't be said for Barry and Caitlin. Barry had been stabbed in the calf with an icicle, and Caitlin was able to escape from Barry and the CCPD.

Barry was sitting in one of the exam beds, and I was wrapping his wounded leg in gauze and bandage. He was being quiet.

"What's wrong?" I asked, trying to get Barry's stitches to stop bleeding.

Barry rested his hands on the top of his head, and sighed, "There's just so much going on right now."

"Do you feel guilty?" I questioned, wrapping Barry's leg in bandage.

He huffed, "I should have protected Wally from Alchemy."

"He's going to be okay," I reassured.

"What about you?" Barry questioned, "Do you feel guilty?"

I put the bandage and gauze down and leaned back in my chair. I sighed, "Yeah, I shouldn't have forced her to use her powers on Savitar. I feel like my pushing her is what made her snap."

"We'll get her back," Barry smiled.

"I hope so," I replied.

Yay! I finally finished finals for this semester.

Which means I'm going to be able to write a lot more. I want to finished season 3 by the end of the summer, because as I'm writing this, season 4 is almost done (yikes). The Thinker is a fucking ass, and I love Ralph.
