Secrets (Draco x reader)

The next morning, I went to have breakfast but I didn't talk to anyone. I just ate and when I was done, I left the Great Hall.

As I walked out, I thought to go for a short walk on the school grounds. I was still upset about yesterday so it would be a good way to clear my mind a little. I was close to the lake when I heard voices in the distance. They sounded familiar, so I went to see what was going on.

As I got closer, the voices got louder and I quickly understood that these people were yelling at each other. When I was close enough to the figures, I recognised the two guys that stood just a few feet apart from each other: Draco and Cedric.

"Oh shit" was all that I could think as I got close enough to hear their actual words. "You shouldn't have treated her like that Diggory!" Draco yelled. "Like what? I did nothing wrong Malfoy!" Both guys were already pissed off and I knew that this could go very wrong.

"Oh no? Then tell me that you gave her all the attention she deserved as your BLOODY DATE! Tell me that you made sure she had a good time! Oh right, you can't, because you didn't do any of those things and it hurt her way more then she would ever admit!" It pained me to hear how right Draco was. However, Cedric was an asshole and I was furious with him.

"And how would you know? You don't even know her! You may see her sometimes with Potter and his friends Malfoy, but I know her way better than you! I actually talk to her!" Cedric wasn't someone that yelled easily, so I assumed that they had been here for quite some time already.

Draco was furious and I should've known he was gonna do something like what he did next. He suddenly stepped forward and punched Cedric right on his nose. Cedric fell on the ground from the sudden attack, rubbing his paining nose.

Draco didn't hesitate a moment to jump on him and punch and kick him as hard as he could. Cedric pushed Draco off of him and now it was his time to attack. He punched Draco in his stomach and face and I took me a few seconds to process what was happening.

The guys continued rolling on the ground, punching each other for a good few minutes until I came back to my senses. I ran towards the fighting duo as Draco got on top of Cedric to punch him in his face again. "Guys stop!" I yelled as I rushed to them and pulled Draco off Cedric.

I created some distance between the boys and tried to calm Draco down a little. "Hey hey, look at me Draco. Calm down, breathe." He was trying to get to Cedric again who was still laying on the ground. "That asshole deserves some good punches y/n, let me at him!"

"Draco look at me" I said and he looked at my face, but not into my eyes. "I know he deserves it and believe me, I wanna punch him too, but I can't let you hurt him too bad. Now breathe and calm down."

Draco's breathing eased a little, but I knew that he was still raging inside. I turned around and looked at a panting Cedric on the ground. "You deserved that Cedric, you're a bloody asshole" I say in a cold and angry manner.

"What the hell did I do wrong?!" He asked and Draco spoke before I got the chance. "Let me show you what you did wrong Diggory!" He tried to walk to Cedric again, but I stopped him by putting my hand on his chest.

"Draco don't. Calm down, let me handle him." He wasn't happy with what I said, but he did as I asked. "What's your problem here, Malfoy? Why do you even care? You guys aren't even friends!" Cedric said confused.

"Not that it's your bloody business Diggory" Draco spit out Cedric's name "but we actually are fiends, so I care because I care about her!" I was a little stunned at Draco's words. They were true, I knew that, but I was still surprised to hear him say it.

"Wait really?" Cedric asked "You guys don't even talk, you're not friends!" I was just getting annoyed to death at this point. "Yes we are. He's a way better friend to me than you are."

We didn't say or so anything for a few seconds until I sighed and walked to Cedric to help him up. "Than-" Cedric started but I cut him off by punching him in his stomach. I could hear Draco chuckle and say "ouch" in a sarcastic voice behind me.

"Don't ever bother me again Diggory or the next will be lower" I warn him. He gulped and I turned around to face Draco again. I had to do my best not to burst out laughing when I saw his proud and amused face. I took his hand and walked off as I dragged him with me, leaving Cedric behind.
