Secrets (Draco x reader)

~time skip of a few days~

I spent a few days at the Malfoy Manner, being in wolf form most of the time. However, I kept feeling sick which also had a little impact on my mood. Draco had introduced me as his new pet so no one would ask questions but Bellatrix kept making annoying comments about my fur and how well she could use it.

"I mean, it would just be way more useful as a coat than a fake dog" she said one day. I've had enough and just couldn't control myself. I kept growling at her as I slowly got closer and closer to her. I could see a subtly intrigued look on her face which only infuriated me more. I was just about to jump at her so I could claw her stupid eyes out and bite her face off but Draco grabbed me and held me back.

"Ergh! Draco, keep your stupid flee-brewer away from me!" Bellatrix yelled out in disgust. "Oh come on Bella, she's just in a bad mood I'm sure" Narcissa defended me. How is it even possible that those two are sisters? They are nothing alike! Narcissa is such a sweet mother figure but Bellatrix was just a bitchy murderer with some creepy crush on her stupid boss.

Draco took me almost immediately back to his room and locked the door behind him. "Alright, I know she ain't an easy person but what did she do now?" Draco asked sternly. "What did she- WHAT DID SHE DO NOW?!" I could feel my blood boiling. Didn't he understand how annoying and infuriating she was?

"Well if you didn't notice, she practically turned me into a coat... again" I said as I tried to stay calm "And on top of that, she looked at me with an interested look as if she was already planning out how she was gonna do it!" Draco sighed. "I know Pup, but that's how she is. She's been like this for as long as we've been here, so why is this suddenly a problem?"

"Draco! I won't tolerate this!!" I yelled angrily but he just gave me a worried look. "WHAT?!" I asked, still angry but I immediately regretted it when I saw his hurt expression. "I'm sorry." "Look love, I know this isn't easy for you, but we just have to get through it. If you want to, you can go for a run or we can spend the day together not too far from here" Draco suggested. "Yes, I'd like all of that" I said softly while looking down in shame still.

"Hey, it's okay. You have a right to be furious at her-" Draco started but I interrupted him. "Yes but I shouldn't take it all out on you, that's really unfair." "It's okay y/n, don't worry about it" Draco reassured me.

We did as he had proposed and got back to the manner when it was getting dark. "I really enjoyed today baby, thank you" I said as we got back to his room. "Of course Pup, I enjoyed it too. Now let's watch that movie you wanted to see so bad before we go to sleep" he said with a soft smile. "Yes, great idea!" I said happily as I gave him a short kiss on the lips before I set everything ready.

A few days passed and I started to doubt myself. Being surrounded by all those Death Eaters so often and seeing the impact of their power really did a number on me. I knew I had to talk to Draco about this but I didn't want to upset him as he had been fighting all of this for a while now.

I swirled around his legs with my tail practically sticking to them and looked up at him with puppy eyes. He understood my message so he gave me some pets and walked me to his room.

"I need to tell you something" I immediately confessed "This is not something you'll like to hear so please just hear me out." Draco nodded as he went to sit down on his bed and patted the space next to him. I sat down and started explaining my thoughts to him.

"I just think I could protect my friends and you way better if I knew everything they're planning. You wouldn't have to be carefully with me all the time and not risking everything by trying to protect me, plus I'll be able to warn my friends about dangerous things and stuff" I finished my explanation.

"Y/n" Draco said sternly "You are not gonna join them. Not in a thousand years, got it? Not under my watch." He gave me a serious look but I protested "Come on, it's just-" "I said no" Draco said frighteningly calm. "But I-" I tried again but he was having none of it.

"Y/n" he said as he softly took my hands in his "This is way too dangerous. My aunt will be all over you, pestering you with your mom's death on top of it all. It would be suspicious if you suddenly switched sides, I'm already dragged into this whole shit show so please, don't get yourself involved too, okay?" I stared into his eyes for a bit but eventually nodded and said "Okay, I will." "Thank you" Draco said in a relieved tone.
