Secrets (Draco x reader)

~ time skip ~

Tomorrow was the start of Christmas break and I was already not looking forward to it. I knew I couldn't bare it to stay with the Weasley's again. Not that I wouldn't want to but because I didn't want to be a burden to them again and bring them in danger. I had already decided to stay at school and that's how it would be.

I was on my way to the Slytherin Dungeons now to see Draco once again. Without our little secret meetings I wouldn't survive things anymore. The teachers were shit, most classes were horrible, I felt weird or sick most of the time and sleep was still a no-go. I only felt good when I was with him in his room, peacefully and with a feeling of love.

Draco was already waiting for me at the entrance of the Slytherin Common room when I arrived. He cast the Disillusionment charm on me again and we went to his dorm. We layed down on the bed and cuddled in silence for a while. Suddenly Draco spoke up.

"I don't know if I like the fact that it's Christmas break tomorrow" he said with sadness in his voice "All those bloody idiots in my home, I hate them all." He sighed deeply and even though it was impossible, I shuffled a little closer to him. "It's gonna be okay Draco, 3 of those idiots are gonna stay here with me so you won't see then at least" I said with a small smile to cheer him up.

"Wait a second" Draco said as he sat up a little more "You aren't staying at school, are you?" I smiled innocently at him and said "nooooo" with a sarcastic tone. "Y/n y/l/n" he said in a strict voice. "Oh shit" I said, realising he was not kidding around right now. "Well maybe I am, just maybe" I said.

"Oh no absolutely not y/n, you won't" Draco said as I stared at him with puppy eyes. "But why not? I don't wanna be a burden to anyone so the perfect solution is to stay here, tadaa" I said jokingly but Draco didn't have any of it. "No Pup, you ain't been feeling well lately too so you'll just come with me then" Draco suggested "Or with Ginny, I don't care. Just not here."

"But Draco I don't wanna bother the Weasley's anymore, they already did so much for me. And I honestly feel a lot better already" I lied to make him worry a little less "Plus, no offence but staying in the same house as Bellatrix, no thank you" I said with a sad and angry tone. "Y/n please, you can't stay here. Please just come with me then. You can stay a wolf the whole time if you want, only me and my mom will know."

"I'm not gonna be able to say no and stay at school anyways, huh?" I asked as I looked at him. "Ehe no" he said sneakily with a small smile which made me laugh too. "Alright fine, but if your aunt irritates me, I'll bite her face off" I said as put my head down in Draco's chest again.

"You're adorable" Draco said with a soft chuckle.  "No I'm not!" I said in protest but Draco just chuckled some more. "Yes you are love, you just don't see it yourself." I made a "hm" sound which didn't imply agreement nor disagreement. We layed on bed for as long as we could before I had to return to my own dorm.

The next morning, I packed my things and went to the Great Hall where the others were. Ginny looked surprised when she saw me coming with my baggage. "So you're gonna come with me anyways?" she asked confused but I shook my head.

"You guys have done so much for me already, I don't wanna make a habit of using you guys as back-up plan" I explained to her. "So where are you going then?" she asked curiously with a look that implied she knew already. "Draco insisted that I'd stay with him. No one will recognise me 'cus I'll be in my wolf form around others."

"Smart plan" Ginny admitted "Just stay safe, okay? Both of you." I nodded. "We will Ginny, don't worry" I reassured her. We went to the train together and because there were no teachers around anymore, Draco and I could finally sit together without having to worry.

When we almost had to go off the train, Draco spoke up. "My mom will come and pick us up. You can stay a human until we're almost home, okay?" he asked and I nodded with a soft smile. "I honestly can't wait to meet your mom" I said shyly "In a proper way I mean. She just seems like such a nice woman." Draco chuckled softly and pulled me a little closer to him. "Yes, she is though."

When we stepped off the train, Draco walked me over to his mom. "Hi darling" Narcissa said as she gave Draco a hug as he said hi back "And you must be y/n, nice to meet you dear." She gave me a hug as well and it felt so warm and mother-like that I immediately felt welcomed and safe.

"Nice to meet you too Mrs. Malfoy" I said with a warm smile. "Just Narcissa is fine y/n, no need for the Mrs." she said as she returned the smile "Now let's go home." Draco took my hand and we followed Narcissa out of the train station to go to the Malfoy's Manner.
