Secrets (Draco x reader)

When I woke up the next morning, I was confused about where I was for a moment. My gaze fell on Draco's face, peaceful and calm as he was still asleep. I smiled involuntarily and gave his hand a light squeeze as I had been holding it all night long.

I hated that I had to leave him but unfortunately, I couldn't just miss my classes. I gave Draco a soft kiss and left him a note to say I had to leave but I would come back when I could. I walked out of the Hospital Wing and hurried to my form before going to class.

After having Potions class and Care for Magical Creatures, I ate lunch real quick and made my way back to the Hospital Wing. I was almost there when I heard some voices and I wished that it wasn't who I thought I heard.

I walked through the doors of the Hospital Wing and was pretty unhappy to see that I was right although I was also surprised.... and angry. I walked towards the trio standing around Draco's bed and I tried to stay as calm as I could.

"You!" I said while stepping closer to Harry and punching him in his face in anger "What are you doing here?" Harry clunched his nose in pain and I could see Ron and Hermione making worried faces. Harry looked back up at me from the ground and I gave him a death stare.

"Y/n-" Draco started but I wasn't having any of it. "You shut up" I warned him and he leaned back against the bed in surrender but I could also see him try to hide a small smile. "What the hell did you think you were doing huh?" I asked Harry in a mad tone and I couldn't help but spot a hint of fear in his eyes. "He probably thinks I will punch him again.... and I want to."

"I uhm, I saw this spell in my potions book... I wanted to try it out to see what it did..." Harry explained but it somehow only made me angrier. "You used a random spell made by god knows who that wrote it in you book and you thought it was a good plan?!" I screamed furiously "God Harry, I know you're a clueless idiot but this is just stupid!" At that moment, Ron decided to step in.

"Oh come on y/n, it's not-" he said but I interrupted him in all my anger. "Oh but I know you two knew of this book and that spell, didn't you? I just know you knew!" I yelled but Draco decided to try and calm me down a little. "Darling?" he asked softly and I turned around - still in my anger - to face him.

"What?" I said bitterly and Draco gave me a soft smile. "You know I'm alive right? I am breathing and you still have me" he said calmly, without braking eye contact with me "I forgave Potter. Yes it was stupid, but that doesn't matter. He apologised and that's the most important thing, right?"

"Damn you Draco, since when did you get so freaking adult-like you idiot?!" I thought as I gave him an are-you-kidding-me look. He kept smirking at me with that way too cute smirk on his lips and I hated that I fell for it... but I mean why wouldn't I though, have you seen that smirk?

"Urgh fine" I said as I gave up "But I won't apologise for punching you though, you deserved that" I said to Harry and he gave me small smile. "Thanks y/n and I really am sorry" Harry said apologising again and I nodded my head at him appreciatively.

The trio quickly left the Hospital Wing and Draco and I were alone again. "You really got dire, huh?" Draco chuckled as I went to sit down next to his bed. "You only notice that now?" I asked playfully and Draco laughed amused as he took my right hand in his. "No darling I knew it already, you just reminded me of it."

"Oh Yeah that reminds me" I started "Since when are you and Harry so close?" Draco chuckled again. "Are you jealous Pup?" he asked amused. "Ha! You wish" I joked "I'm just upset, he just cursed you yesterday you know?"

Draco nodded understandingly. "That's true y/n, but I also poisoned Weasley not so long ago" he said with a guilty look in his eyes. "Yes baby but you didn't mean for it to be him while Harry litterally aimed for you" I said reassuringly.

"Wait, do they know you were the one behind that poisoned mead?" I asked genuinely confused but Draco just shrugged. "I didn't think so at first, but Potter has been very suspecting of me lately and then he and I had that fight so I kind of think they do know" Draco admitted.

"Well I guess that's logical" I said while thinking "I mean, I punched Harry because he hurt you so I would get why he would wanna curse you if he knee you accidentally poisoned his best friend." Draco nodded in agreement and we decided to change the topic.

"Anyway, how are you feeling today? Better?" I asked worriedly and Draco smiled reassuringly at me. "Yes Pup I'm better. Madame Pomfrey has given me some more medicine and I'm feeling much better already" he explained and I was glad to hear that as I had been very worried about him today.

"Okay that's good" I said in a relieved manner "I don't like visiting you here, it reminds me you're hurt and I hate that." I looked into Draco's eyes as he gave me a sweet smirk.

"You're adorable" he said which made me blush as a big smile appeared on my face. "And you're an idiot" I said with an amused smile and Draco kept smirking at me. "But you love me" he said teasingly and I nodded in response. "Yep, that I definitely do."
