Secrets (Draco x reader)

Nothing really happend all evening until Snape suddenly came bursting out of his office. "Go warn every Order member you can find and tell them something's wrong on the 7th floor!" he ordered while passing us, not even caring what we were doing there. The girls and I were surprised by the sudden commanding and it took us a moment to come to action.

When we had warned every Order member we could find, we went to the 7th floor ourselves to help the others. We saw Ron, Ginny and Neville fighting with some Death Eaters and before I could realise, they started firing curses at us as well.

It didn't take long before I was in an one-on-one duel with a Death Eater and I was actually doing quite well. I suddenly felt a stinging pain in my leg and when I looked down, I saw a cut that was starting to bleed quite rapidly. As I looked back up, I was too late to dodge another spell which made a cut right above my eyebrow. "Fuck, god damn it!" I cursed before I blasted the Death Eater against the ground with a full-body-blind curse.

That's when I suddenly saw Snape dragging Draco through the fight. They were hurrying to get out of the castle and when I saw Harry following them eagerly, I didn't hesitate a moment to run after them as well. I ran outside and from a distance, I could see Snape push Draco forward and he started fighting with Harry.

I screamed Draco's name and ran towards him as he turned around and saw me. We locked eyes and I flew into his arms. "Are you okay baby?" I asked while trying to not let him hear my voice break. "Yes darling, are you fine though?" We pulled away from the hug and Draco's eyes widened as he took a look at my leg and forehead.

"Y/n!" he said in a shocked tone but I cut him off. "I'm fine Draco, don't worry" I said reassuringly. "You really are a stubborn idiot" Draco said with a sigh and I nodded. "I know, but you love me." Draco gave me a small smile but it almost immediately disappeared again.

"It's okay Draco, I get it. Now go, you're not safe here" I said as I understood at once. "I'm sorry y/n" Draco said with a guilty look in his eyes but I cupped his face and kissed him tenderly. "I get it baby, now go!" We slowly let go of each other and I watched Draco turn around and run away, away from the danger but also away from me.

I looked at Snape and Harry as I turned back around and I saw Harry laying on his back on the ground with the professor towering over him. I wasn't sure what would happen between them next but it didn't feel like a positive outcome so I carefully walked a little closer to the duo.

When I was at a hearing-distance, I heard Harry scream "Sectumsempra!" I couldn't help but get a little mad at him for still using the spell, knowing what it could do. Snape blocked the curse and gave Harry a cold look. "Don't use my own spells against me Potter" he said. Apparently Harry was just as confused as I was as Snape decided to clarify himself. "Yes, I am the Half-Blood Prince."

My thoughts raced through my head and I felt my heart beating in my throat. "Half-Blood Prince? But that's the person from Harry's book, right? Wait so does that mean- does that mean Snape is... Yes, Snape is the one that made the Sectumsempra curse. Snape is the one responsible for Draco getting hurt."

My hand clenched around my wand and I could feel the blood pumping through my vains. I got a little fizzy from the anger that was piling up inside of me but I didn't give into it... okay that's a lie, I didn't immediately give into it.

"Expelliarmus!" I yelled as I pointed my wand at Snape. My spell made him fall back onto the grass and I rushed towards him, standing over him with my wand pointing between his eyes. Snape seemed stunned but I could also see a small spark of fear in his eyes.

"You bastard!" I spat angrily "You are the reason Draco got hurt! What the actual fuck were you thinking putting random, dangerous spells in god damn school books?!" Snape gave me a serious look and said "Miss y/l/n, if I were you I would remove the wand."

I did the opposite of what Snape had asked and intensified my grip on my wand as I tried to control my anger. "Give me one good reason not to hit you with something that's at least 3 times worse than Sectumsempra" I warned him with clenched teeth. "I am the only one capable of protecting your precious boyfriend now" Snape said simply.

I hesitated for a second before I slowly took a few steps back because no matter how much I hated it, he was indeed right. "Then go" I said in a bitter tone as Snape stood again "Go after him and protect him from that noseless idiot."

After Dumbledore's funeral everybody slowly went back to the castle and got ready for the train ride. The atmosphere - in the castle as well as in the Hogwarts Express - was very sad and people didn't seem to talk as much as before. I didn't talk much either as I was just worrying the whole time.

Although most of my thoughts went to Draco, I also thought about all the changes that would be happening from now on. At school everything would be different given that our headmaster just died but outside of school things would change too. Dumbledore was a very famous wizard, he was the most powerful wizard alive and - most importantly - the only one who Voldemort was afraid of.

Eventually, the train arrived at perron 9¾ and it didn't take me long to find my mom. As I hugged Ginny and all the others goodbye, I saw Billy and Thomas going to their parents as well.

Their mom hugged them both and I must say that she looked just like the classic mom. Her red, wavy hair rested on her shoulders. She wore a simple shirt and pants but she still looked very classy. The dad was a tall guy with short, blond hair. He talked to his sons and took their bags over from them.

I smiled at the sight of the happy family but I also couldn't help but feel a little sad. "That's what I still miss in my life."
