Secrets (Draco x reader)

I stayed in the Hospital Wing for a week and then madam Pomfrey allowed me to leave. I still had some light bite and scratch marks on my neck and left side, but they were almost fully healed. The wounds in my neck would disappear over time, but I would be left with scares on my side as those wounds had been way deeper and worse.

Sometimes during the day, I felt some pain in my neck or side, but it was bearable. I could attend classes in a normal way and my days were as usual as always.

~ time jump to November ~

Some time had passed and everything was going well: my classes were going great, the Quidditch team was doing amazing and things with Draco were going well too.

I was sitting in positions class when professor Slughorn gave us permission to clean everything up and leave class. I did what he had asked and left class alone.

I entered the Hufflepuff common room as my classes for today were done when I saw everyone gathered around the wall with the announcements. I went to look and saw that a new trip to Hogsmeade was planned... on the exact day of my birthday.

I sat down in one of the couches in the corner and started reading a little. After a while, Ellie came and sat down next to me. "Did you see the announcement?" she asked "The trip is in three days...on your birthday."

I sighed as I closed my book. "I know Ellie, I saw, I just don't know if I like it." She frowned at that and asked "Why?" "I don't really know, but it doesn't matter." She shrugged "Okay then."

I may have said that, but te truth is that I did know why. Everyone will be busy shopping or having a drink at the Three Broomsticks. I really didn't want to keep them from doing that, but I also wanted to have some company on my birthday...

After I spend some more time talking with Ellie, I went to my dorm when I noticed the leather notebook. The cover was white, which meant that Draco had written me. I picked up the book and opened it to read Draco's message.

Hey Pup, did you see the announcement? I thought that maybe we could spend the day together if you want

A big smile appeared on my face when I read that. I quickly took my quill and ink to answer him.

I would love to, Draco! Really, thank you!

Okay great, meet me behind Zonko's Joke Shop as soon as you arrive in Hogsmeade.

Now, I was really looking forward to my birthday. I was sure that Draco and I would have a great time which only made my smile grow.

After dinner, I talked a little with Ginny and Luna. "Slughorn really likes you, I'm telling you" I said to Ginny "Even when you're not in class, he talks about you!" Ginny laughed at that "Well I'm glad that someone sees me for me and my talents and not because of my brothers."

"Hey!" I said faking an offended look "What about Luna and I? We appreciate you for you." Ginny gave me a look. "Wait really? Why didn't you guys say so?" she said sarcastically and we all laughed.

"Hey y/n, did you see that the Hogsmeade trip is planned on your birthday?" Luna asked me. "Yes, I saw. I already have plans" I said with a dreamy smile. Both girls looked at each other. "Really? With who?" Ginny asked curiously.

"Hey girls" Neville said as he walked up to us. "Hey Neville, what's up?" I asked, avoiding Ginny's question. "Nothing really I just-" he started but got interrupted by Ginny. "Okay Neville then no offense but shut up please."

"Ginny!" I said while trying to keep in a laugh. "Sorry, I just wanna get an answer to my question. With who do you have plans?" she asked teasingly. "You already know who Ginny, now let Neville say what he wanted to say."

"Wait, who? I can't follow, what are we talking about?" Neville asked confused to which I sighed. "I just said I have plans for my birthday already" I explained. "Oh right I saw, it's the day of the next Hogsmeade trip." "Yes Neville, I saw, thank you" I said as I was getting a little irritated by everyone saying that to me.

"Oh, with who?" he asked and I just rolled my eyes. "Oh for gods sake, I'm just gonna hang out with Draco, okay?" Ginny gave me a mischievous smile and Neville just nodded.

They didn't know Draco and I were together and I didn't plan on telling them soon. Ginny however, suspected some things but I never confirmed any of her theories.

"That's a nice thing of him to do for you y/n, I knew he would be a good friend to you" Luna said with a smile. "He better makes sure it's a memorable day for you" Neville said and Ginny nodded. "Yup, it's not your 16th birthday every day."

"You just make sure to have fun with Dean" I told her with a wink. "And maybe you two can do something fun together too" I said with a meaningful smile towards Luna and Neville. All three of them smiled shyly and then we all started laughing. After talking some more, we all said goodbye and left for our common rooms.
