"Ok," I said happily, "these are ready for placement. All we have to do now is get them put where they need to be, the final bit of the spell invoked and we should be ready to go." I looked over and saw Y/N smiling happily and couldn't have been more encouraged. She looked so excited and happy to know we were going with her very soon. I couldn't wait!
"I can't wait to see Belmont try to wear clothes from my time," Y/N laughed and then let me know what men wore...and I had to admit I was looking forward to it as well.

Trevor and I were getting things together to take with us through the Mirror of Fate, especially making sure that we had all of Y/N's things and just adding our things to her cart, when Trevor spoke up.
"You know, we probably won't have to bring much with us. I just thought of that."
"Why do you say that?" I asked. This ought to be good.
"Well, Y/N said we'd have to have new clothes there so we'd blend in, we don't need our weapons there because there aren't as many night creatures and we will have plenty of things to eat and things like that so we don't need to bring that with us either. Really, all we need to get together is a change of clothes so we can wash up and change."
"This is true," I said with an air of surprise. This thick-headed dipshit just said something intelligent. I had been thinking basically the same thing, but Sypha had told us that we should pack some things to take with us.
"Actually," I mentioned, "I think I'm going to bring a couple of books with us. Mainly because I don't think they'd have the spell books that Sypha was reading and that book of poetry that Y/N was reading. Anything else you can think of?"
Belmont took a moment to think before he said, "I might go ahead and bring one of the volumes of the Belmont family to see if there's anything I could add to it. Some kind of history to see if I find anything else about my family then."
We both grabbed the books we'd been speaking of, and the case with the mirror, and brought the cart into the main hall. As we piled everything together, Sypha and Y/N were walking back toward the main hall and laughing while placing the last of the pouches. When they joined us back in the center of the hall, both of them were still giggling about something, and that stoked my need to know.
"What are you two laughing about?"
Y/N chuckled and said, "I was just telling Sypha that it might be fun to see Trevor trying to put on clothes from my time."
"After all," Sypha added, "he has so much trouble with the clothes he wears now. In her time he'll have to work with buttons, zippers and such just to make sure his pants are on right." I started to laugh myself.
"Hey!" Trevor interrupted angrily. "I know how to dress myself, you fuckers!"
Y/N walked over and gave Trevor a loose hug before saying, "Of course you can! You're a big boy, aren't you? Yes, you are! You're a big boy!" She finished her sentence while ruffling his hair and ended that with a light pinch to his nose. I was finding it very difficult not to laugh at the look of exasperation on his face while he rolled his eyes, Sypha didn't even bother to hold in hers and Y/N wrinkled her nose and smirked before turning to walk to me.
We checked one last time to make sure we had all of Y/N's things with us before Sypha pulled out the book with the spell Y/N had found with the seal magic in it. Closing her eyes and letting out a nervous breath, Sypha steeled herself and slowly opened her eyes as she spoke the words of the spell. The lights in the hall flickered and a loud hum could be heard before it sounded like all of the doors slammed at the same time and a flash of white light shone around the outside of the doors and windows visible to the main hall. That same light even shone around the broken windows toward the top of the staircase. Once Sypha stopped speaking, the hum that sounded through the castle ceased and the light faded.
"That was rather dramatic," Y/N said softly. "but that spell sealed the castle and the Belmont Hold together so that now only Sypha, Trevor, you and me are the only ones that can enter them. That also means that even after you come back it will work and none of your father's enemies can come in."
It was then that I noticed that there was a rather large rug below us and realized that it was there to mask the sound of the mirror hitting the floor when it came apart and also marked the place where we'd be coming back to when we returned. I tried not to think of coming back here without Y/N and instead focused on the fact that I would soon be in her time to experience all the things she had been thinking about with us. A slow smile spread across my lips as she read the words to assemble the mirror.
"Ok, each of us has to have a piece of the mirror before we can go," she explained. "Since I was the one who opened the mirror, I have to be the one to determine where we go. This will have to be done the exact same way on the return trip which means that you'll have to remember what this room looks like now. To make that part a little easier, I took a picture of this area before we all gathered, so you'll easily be able to tell what the room looks like to come back to."
"When we do that," I asked, "will that bring us back to this time?"
"Yes," she answered with certainty. "It is the way you envision the place that you're trying to get to that aims where you're going. If I see my apartment as I left it the morning I came here, that is where we'll go. And because I never returned there, I won't run into myself on the way. I will just have to go to a different market for food instead of the one I usually go to because the workers all know me there and will be a little confused if I come back later that night for more."
