I didn't realize I had been singing to myself until I slid an earphone off my ear and heard myself. Damn Bluetooth headphones needing to have the wire plugged in to charge up anyway. I slid it back into place and continued the translations. I'd found three books that contained information on the Infinite Corridor as well as a drawing of the artifact used to find the elusive doorways. While I waited for the last page, I picked up the drawing and moved to the shelves that had various statues, boxes and the like that lined the wall. Looking carefully between the drawing and the shelves, I finally managed to find the thing we'd need to get my ass home where it belonged. I did, however, have a thought about that trip home.
The castle of Vlad Tepes had been one of the things that I'd studied for a while after seeing a haunted locations show on television, and I knew that there was something in the basement that no one could quite understand. There were structures that looked an awful lot like pipes that ran through one section of the castle, and I'm sure, since seeing the drawings of a system of ducts and pipes in the laboratory before tall, blonde and idiotic pissed in my Post Toasties, that it was what I had seen on the screen. Also, if I wasn't mistaken, it was a rumor that went from one side of the countryside to the other in Romania that Dracula's castle moved on it's own. It was said that it was a defense mechanism built into the structure to keep his family and armies from being discovered and harmed. It occurred to me that there was a possibility of moving the whole castle through the Corridor if the pipes were still intact. It would just need a bit of tweaking here and there to get it back up and running. Thank goodness for a busted pipe in my apartment and a copy of Plumbing for Dummies!
I stopped in my tracks at that moment in a daze of realization. Why the hell I was thinking of taking the whole bloody castle home with me through the Corridor puzzled me, especially considering my current beef with the owner of said castle and his ability to go from Vampire to Dickhead in 2.2 seconds.
I rolled my eyes at my inner musings and picked up the things that I needed from the shelf. I moved back to my computer bag and found that the translations were complete, so I packed up my computer, took off my headphones and placed them in the bag with the items I needed and then proceeded back to the lift out of the hold.

"You know," I said after our laughter finally stopped, "we really should be looking for the information we're going to need to get Y/N back through that Corridor. It's not fair that she's the one doing all the work and she's going to need help with the translations."
"Oh! Dammit, I didn't even stop to think about that!" Sypha said as she stood to go find Y/N. Her movements, however, stopped short when the person she was going to look for was walking swiftly toward us.
"I've got all we need. Let's go," Y/N said quickly and stepped upon the platform.
She didn't even bother to look at any of us or say anything other than that which told me either she was excited by her findings or she was itching to get the hell out of here. I didn't want to think of the third option because of what it would mean to both Sypha and Alucard if it was so, but it was also possible that she was trying to get as far away from Alucard as quickly as she could because he'd pissed her off that much. Sadly, I had to admit myself that I was upset for him.
Sighing heavily, I stood and walked up to the platform with Sypha following behind me while Alucard looked at Y/N briefly before releasing the rope loop that held us in place. He climbed aboard and pulled the lever to get us back up to the surface, and the whole ride up he stared at his feet. He, too, appeared to have thought the same as I did...and was upset by that third option as well. All the way up she stood in the corner behind me staring up at the sky above, making no sound or looking at anything else. It wasn't a good sign.
