Trevor P.O.V.
Sypha was watching the doorway to the kitchen for the last hour or so waiting for Y/N to return. I was kind of interested to find out what was going on, too, but I tried to keep my level of curiosity down to a minimum.
"I wonder what's going on?" Sypha said for the third time in less than half an hour. "I didn't even see Alucard go past, but Y/N came in and grabbed a bowl of water."
"Sypha," I began, "please keep your curiosity to yourself for just a little bit longer. I'm sure fang face is sick as a dog and she's just trying to help him. We'll find out in a few moments, so just relax, have some tea and hope that Y/N has something we can make for lunch so I don't have to go out and hunt."
Just as she was about to protest, Y/N walked in carrying the bowl and cloths. She placed them on the counter before going over to the bucket and getting out a small measure of water. She washed her hands quickly and then dumped the water from the bucket over them to rinse off.
"Alucard was sick, as I thought he would be," she said quietly. "He's running a fever and is sweating out the alcohol, but it's going to be touch and go for a bit. Vampire or no, he is still pretty fragile."
"I should have stopped him from drinking so much," I admitted. "If I had assured him everything would be fine, he might not have drank so much."
"If WE had stopped him," Sypha added sadly.
"Don't worry, you two," Y/N said with a slight smile. "Luckily, I have some medicine that will help him break that fever. I just have to wait until his stomach isn't displaying it's ability to eject everything before I give it to him."
"How?" Sypha asked.
"Remember how I said that my time had developed medicines that practically cures some things?"
"Yes, but it's a fever," I said. "People die from those."
"Not where I'm from," Y/N "Yes, there are some who pass from fevers, but it is few and far between where I come from. We have several medicines that will help reduce fevers or at least help them break so that they dissipate on their own. But it's Alucard's system that is a little different."
"Oh," Sypha uttered.
"What do you mean?" I couldn't help but be a little confused at this point. I mean, if Y/N has medicines, why would it be different?
"Its the serum he was given to make him grow faster. It has altered his DNA and made it more difficult to predict if the medicine I have will be effective. That's the only reason why I'm concerned right now. I have no idea what it was they gave him, how it was given to him, and what the effects on his system are. If I knew that, I wouldn't have a problem."
She moved over to the table and pulled up her cart. Opening the lid, she pulled out a package of white cheese, a small package of some kind of sliced sausage and a container that had some kind of red sauce in it. From one of the bags above, she pulled out a package of small bread loaves and placed the items all on the table before her. She then stood and got everything she was going to need and returned to her seat to begin putting together whatever it was that she was making. I had no idea what it was, but this woman could cook, so I wasn't going to argue or ask.

After we had our 'English muffin pizzas', Y/N got together her computer, something she called a notebook and a pen. She opened up her computer and her computer screen flashed.
"What's that?" I asked.
"This is the information that I got from the hold," she said with a smile. "I figure that I should start getting things ready to get me back to my time, and making the necessary notes on how to do that is the best way to start."
As much as I didn't want her to go, I knew that Y/N would have to go back to her own time. She didn't belong here and no matter how much we all wanted that fact to be otherwise, we all knew that we would have to let her go eventually. Just no one thought it would be this soon.
"Are you going to tell Alucard?" Trevor questioned. As soon as the words were out of his mouth, he and I both saw that Y/N's face fell. There was a sadness pouring off her that was palpable and we both knew there was absolutely nothing we could do to ease it. She opened and closed her mouth to answer several times, but ended up dropping her eyes down to the table in the end.
Softly and barely discernible we heard her utter, "I don't know that I should."
"But-"
She interrupted me with, "At least he can now realize that all humans aren't bad and aren't out there to take advantage of him. I can leave happy in that knowledge." She attempted a smile, but the weakness and sadness in it was something she couldn't hide.
Trevor, without prompting, stood from his spot and moved over to Y/N. Bending slightly, he wrapped his arms around her shoulders which immediately began to shake as soft sobs could be heard. He rubbed her back in slow circles until her sobs had become hiccups and released her to sit down beside her.
"Alright! Enough of that," she said as she wicked the tears from her cheeks and rubbed the evidence of her weakness from her eyes. "Time to get busy on this."
"Do you need anything else to do this?" I asked. My disappointment in the idea of her leaving leaked through even though I was reluctant to let that knowledge be known.
"I don't know for sure, but one of the texts that I went through said that I would need a specific artifact to aid me in finding a doorway." She then reached into her bag and pulled out a small crystal on a chain.
"From what I managed to find, this bit of quartz should be all I need to find the doorway. According to the translation, this will 'illuminate a bright green color' when I'm close to a door."
"That seems to make sense," I said. "Saint Germain had a stone that wavered in green and pink light when he got close to the doorway in the priory, so it must be relatively the same material."
Y/N pulled a small square item from her bag and pushed a few buttons on it. She set it off to the side before reaching back into her bag for a small blue packet which she then placed next to the box.
"What's that?" I queried. I couldn't help but be fascinated with the items of her time and my curiosity piqued when she showed more.
"This is a timer. I have it set so that I'll know when an hour is up. Then I'll go check on Adri-Alucard and give him this medicine for his fever and stomach." She smirked to herself when she recounted her plan to us.
"Wait a minute," Trevor said with a smirk of his own. "You started to say something else before you said Alucard's name. What was that?" He quirked an eyebrow as he looked upon Y/N's slowly blushing face.
"What? I have no idea what you're implying, sir," she said as she attempted to lose herself in the information presented to her on her computer.
"You were going to call him Adrian. Weren't you?" I said with a smirk of my own.
"Huh?" she uttered sharply. "What was that?"
"Yeah," Trevor said on a chuckle. "Keep that clueless look on your face, wench. I know better."
Y/N smiled while going about her work. I looked over at Trevor and mouthed a thank you to him and earned a wink in return.
