Alucard P.O.V.
We put away all the things that Y/N got us, something for which I'm suddenly feeling pretty guilty of, and made up the beds before we all gathered again in the 'living room'. As we all took seats and settled down for a bit, Y/N grabbed her tablet and started tapping on the screen with a smile slowly growing across her face.
"What are you doing?" Sypha asked. "I'm almost afraid of the answer, to be honest." Her face showed that she was a little wary of knowing the answer to that question. I didn't blame her. Y/N continued to tap on the screen, but answered.
"I'm looking through a few different places to find things for dinner," she said happily. "I know you guys honestly believe that I'm this fantastic cook and that you would never have anything better, thanks for saying that out loud, Trevor, but I'm looking for things that I couldn't prepare for you and give you a variety of things to try. Thankfully, here we have places that will go and pick everything up and bring it to me because I don't think I could go out there and get it. No offense to you guys, but I don't want to leave you alone here. At least for today."
I wanted to argue. I am an adult here. I can sit here by myself without her hanging over me to mother me and make sure I can walk. I could be trusted to sit here while she left, dammit!
"Adrian?"
"Yes?"
"You're sulking too loud," I heard Y/N say right before she giggled.
"I wasn't going to say anything," Trevor piped up, "but you look a bit like an angry five-year-old." As soon as he said it, Y/N turned to look at me, and apparently I had a look on my face that made her laugh because she burst into hysterical laughter.
"What the fuck?" I asked only to have Trevor and Sypha join in with their own laughter.
"Adrian," Y/N gasped out through her laughter, "you look so adorable!" Just then she lifted her phone and a flash of light nearly blinded me.
"Look," she once again said through laughter. I looked at the screen and saw myself with a face that did look like a sulking child who didn't get what they wanted. And as much as I didn't want to, I ended up laughing...and then stopped when I realized that Y/N had called me adorable.
"Ohp!" Sypha said with humor in her voice. "He just caught it."
"Yes, and he looks like he's about to explode. Don't know if that's embarrassment, though," Trevor added.
I moved closer to see what Y/N was poking at and saw a group of pictures with what I suspected were food items. I watched as she tapped different pictures and little symbols underneath that made a number raise under the picture. I could hear her giggling a little here and there as the numbers increased under multiple things.
"Ok," Trevor added, "now I'M afraid of what you're doing. And I'm not one to get scared too easily."
"BOO!" Sypha said loudly behind him. Y/N and I looked over just in time to see him jump in his seat. We all laughed as he growled and stood to chase Sypha down the hall, her laughter and screeching heard fading toward the end.
"I'm done ordering now," Y/N said with a chuckle still rolling through her. "I got some fast food this time just because I have all of this stuff we just bought and I can go to the store again tomorrow if we decide on something different."
"What is this?" I asked and pointed to a picture on her tablet.
"Oh, that's what we call chicken nuggets," she said with a smile. "It's supposed to be bits of chicken breast that have been breaded and deep fried, but some places make them kind of gross. Like BK. I don't like their chicken nuggets, but their burgers are better. Wait. Never mind what I just said. Just form your own opinions of what I get, and if it turns out that you like something else, just let me know and I'll make sure to get it for you next time."
