Mulling over the idea of coming to this castle once again was a good idea. It took us only four days travel to get here. Flyseyes had a point when he suggested that staying in the very place that Carmilla had intended to occupy, and lying in wait for her and the rest of her brood gave me even more time to plan for my attack. It also afforded me the chance to made more night creatures part of my army as there were many of the ones I'd made before still hanging near the castle. It wouldn't have taken as long to get to Carmilla, but knowing the bitch was on her way to the castle, should she actually find it, made the extra time that much more sweet.

Camp with the creatures was comfortable as the only thing I had to worry about were the left over soldiers who hid in the forest awaiting something while attempting to keep away from the angry night creatures who were also left behind. There was a kind of tension in the air that kept me on guard even though I knew I could easily defeat the others in the shadows. And once the night creatures that hid in the woods knew who I was they instantly joined up with my army and kept the rabble out of my camp.

I sat and pondered why it was that I was denied admittance to my master's castle. When we arrived a few hours ago, my first inkling was to burst through the doors and make sure the trio of murderers weren't around, but when I got to the door a shield of some sort of magic barred me from entry. No matter what I did, that magic would repel me each and every time. It angered me greatly that someone would keep me out of someplace I had long called home, but, upon thinking about it further, I could understand why this would be. If those murderers were keeping the castle as residence, protecting it from outsiders and encroaching creatures would be the paramount of importance. So stay out here I must until whomsoever was inside reared their ugly head. Then, and with great pleasure, would I send my horde of night creatures to disembowel them to their heart's content...if they had hearts, that is.

My eyes widened to take in the view before me as I saw light suddenly appear in the windows. Whatever had happened to cause the castle to move had knocked out the engine that ran the inner workings of it and caused all of the lights to die, but here before me were those same lights that I'd grown accustomed to in my time inside.

"You see the lights as I do?" Flyseyes voice grated a short distance away from me. It sounded as confused as I was at this. Before I could answer, however, the lights died. I felt a certain amount of disappointment, only to see the same light shine through the windows yet again. My eyes widened as the entire castle seemed to come alive with light this time.

"I see them, but couldn't tell you what they mean," I answered him honestly. I wanted nothing more than to go running to the door to find out how these people managed to awaken the sleeping beast that was the my master's castle, but never had the chance. As soon as the idea to rush to the door came to mind, the doors opened and I saw a strange woman standing there. Her eyes scanned the treeline before alighting on me. It was as if she could see in the dark and her eyes pierced through my soul.

"Come, Isaac," her voice, though quiet, pierced the darkness where I hid. "He's waiting to see you." Trembling at her ability to see me, I stood and walked toward the open door, a brief flash of light through the frame appeared before she turned, smiled softly and beckoned me inside.

"Be careful," Flyseyes muttered as I took my first few steps. "It could be a trick."

"I will signal you should I need assistance. Be alert," I told him before continuing toward the strange woman.

The night had given us time to unwind and to enjoy ourselves, a quick trip to the store to pick up the last of our supplies before we begin to put my plan into action. I wanted us to enjoy each other's company before we strained ourselves with the upcoming tasks. We had just finished moving the last of the boxes into the castle through the mirror and began to prepare something to eat when Dracula could be heard with a growl. I looked toward him to see his eyes narrowed and his body rigid with awareness of the figures moving in the woods just out of sight.
