My restlessness was becoming an issue. Little did I know how much my agitation was translating to the night creatures because it was Flyseyes who interrupted my thoughts.

"Master, the night creatures are restless. Would you like a few to scout ahead?" Thinking it over, I nodded.

"But make sure they don't go too close to Carmilla and her army, Flyseyes. We don't want to give her a hint as to what awaits her here." He nodded to me and took four night creatures with him to scout ahead. Something in my gut told me they'd be here very soon. Within a couple of hours at the least. It's time to tell the others.

Walking toward the hall, where I knew everyone would be, I saw a few of the people who live in this town, including the woman who's been giving me her shy attention. When she saw my eyes she offered me a small smile, her friends giving her a few nudges and giggling behind their hands. Recalling what Dracula had said, I offered her a small smile in return. Her friends shrieked and giggled louder while her face bloomed into a slightly more red blush. I stared in awe as her smile widened before she hid her face behind her hands and her friends ushered her away toward their duty area. I looked down at the ground and smiled to myself, Dracula's suppositions proven correct right before my eyes. I sighed, trying like hell to keep from chuckling, and started walking to my original destination.

I composed myself in front of the door before opening it. Seeing the group I wanted to speak to sitting together while sharpening knives, distributing the last of the tea and discussing something I couldn't hear. As I got closer, Belmont rolled out a piece of paper that showed the layout of the whole town.

"This building here," he said as he pointed to a large building in the southwest corner of town, "has a cellar in it. We can take the women and children there to keep them safe."

"I wouldn't suggest that. At least just yet," Dracula's lady wife said. "As much as we want to keep them safe, and believe me we all do, if we move them all off to there, Carmilla may become suspicious and just attack."

"I have to agree," Dracula said, "but I also would suggest that the youngest of the children and some of the older women move to that cellar now. Also, a few of the women should be moved with them to help care for the children."

"How in the world are we supposed to choose?" Y/N asked. "I wouldn't be able to look a person in the eye as I chose the person beside them to go." I looked at her face and realized she spoke the truth. You could see the pain in her eyes at the thought she would have to choose people whom she wished to remain safe, and I had to admit that I couldn't bear to do it, either.

"I'd say we could arrange a lottery," Sypha interjected, "but that would take too long."

"Perhaps we should have everyone else choose?" I suggested, the rest turning to finally notice my entrance. "It would be better if the people chose who they would want to remain safe and who can best take care of the children." The others nodded at my suggestion and prepared to do just that, but I had to interrupt just once more.

"I have sent a few night creatures, as well as Flyseyes, ahead to scout when Carmilla will arrive. I have a suspicion that she'll be here soon. Any ideas you have should be carried out as quickly and quietly as possible, just to be safe."

"We should call everyone here now," Dracula said.

"Get together some food, supplies, nursing women and extra blankets ready to go at a moment's notice," Alucard said. "We should also prepare everyone once we find out for sure when they'll be here and find the best route to this building should they need to move quickly."
