Adrian and Y/N were clueless as to the preparations being made, and as they should be. We'd been working very hard to get the food ordered and the cake delivered, making sure everyone understood they were to meet at Vlad and Lisa's place rather than the venue because there were some final checks needed for where everything was actually being set up. Apparently Vlad had a plan for getting where we needed to go, whatever that means.
I pulled up outside the Tudor-style house of Robbie and Jaimie and turned off the car. From what I understood we'd all gotten our invitations a few days ago and the pair of them had been running roughshod through town trying to get suits for the occasion. Only thing left to do was tell them about the Mirror. I was not looking forward to this conversation since I'd be dealing with a guy who played with old junk on the daily and...a Jaimie. I don't know how to describe him. He's sort of feminine in in some of his mannerisms, a little weird with his thought processes and there's so much A.D.D. SO MUCH! He once got distracted by a leaf. Just a leaf laying on the ground. He said it was wiggling in the breeze and 'looked like it wanted to do the Macarena', or something to that effect.
There's only one time he ever stopped dead in his tracks. It happened when Y/N was talking to Robbie about movie quotes. Jaimie kept saying 'not yet', a quote from Antonio Banderas from 'Desperado', while Robbie kept saying 'Something is afoot at the Circle K', a quote from Keanu Reeves in 'Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure'. I thought it was done, but I was horribly wrong.
~~Flashback~~
"I've got one," she said with a smile.
"You'll never beat mine," Robbie said. I shook my head because I know this woman. She's going to blow them out of the water.
"'Could you just promise if you eat me that you'll clean your plates?'" She smiled triumphantly at the males in front of her. I knew she won because neither of them knew what the hell she just said.
"I don't think I know that movie," Robbie said.
"That's because she just made that shit up!" Jaimie railed. "She had to have twisted some line from 'Silence of the Lambs' to come up with this shit!"
"Sorry, boys," she said with a smile as she swiped her finger over the screen of her phone, "the line actually comes from the 1993 movie 'Alive' and it's based on a true story." As soon as she finished speaking, she turned her phone around to show the exact scene where the line was used. Those two will never listen when I tell them they'll never get one up on Y/N, but it was fun to watch them try.
~~Flashback Ends~~
I knocked on the door expecting the usual chaos that came with these two, but what greeted me behind that door was far beyond anything I thought I would see.
On the couch, Robbie was struggling for air under a very obstructive redhead who was apparently attempting to suck his soul out through the death grip she had over his mouth and nose. Her overly painted orange toned lips had formed a suction cup around Robbie's breathing orifices and looked as though she was trying to suck his lungs though whichever hole they reached first.
Jaimie, on the other hand, was trying to yank said woman off his slowly suffocating roommate. He was far too small to move this woman, and most especially because she'd gotten a hold on the back of the sofa. He was trying to move her while his feet slid on the rug, he was wearing a pair of flip flops, so this wasn't going to go well anyway you sliced it.
