"As much as I don't like that screeching pile of human waste, she didn't deserve that," Father said.
"Yeah. So when I finally made it over there, I started beating the shit out of each one of them. Unfortunately for me, one of them got in a right hook that busted my nose. I managed to get the bullies to leave her alone and start walking her home. She was so thankful and happy that I managed to get her stuffed animal back that I couldn't help but use what little money I had left, that was supposed to buy me milk for the rest of the week, and took her to get an ice cream."
"You should have seen those two when they walked through the door," Allen interrupted. "Ellie had chocolate ice cream all over her face, a couple of sprinkles stuck in her hair and an ice cream bubble that came out of her nose every time she breathed. But then there's Y/N, a huge smile on her face, one of her teeth missing, two black eyes and blood dried up and crusted on her face."
"Isn't Ellie older than you?" I asked.
"Of course she is," Y/N chuckled, "but even then she was afraid of breaking a nail. And, at the time, she was quite the porker and would never turn down ice cream."
"Now that's funny," Mother said on a laugh. "She sits there and calls you names in public, but doesn't seem to remember being a little pig when she was younger? What a loathsome little bitch."
"Enough talk about the rest of the family," Allen interrupted. "We should start getting things ready for the rest of the guests. They'll be here soon, remember?" At his prodding, Mother, Father and Allen grinned mischievously before walking back into the house. Allen did stop long enough to wave us forward, but Y/N and I was on alert for anything. Somehow their looks toward each other put both of us ill at ease. Taking each other's hand, we followed behind them fearful for what may be lurking around the corner for us.
Dracula P.O.V.
I could feel just how apprehensive my son and mate were as we made our way out to the sitting area in the back of the cabin and it literally took everything in me not to laugh out loud. We'd figured this might happen, so we put in place things to distract them before the other guests arrived. Luckily for us, Y/N had already brought some things with her to help with said distraction.
"What's that?" Allen asked calmly as they set up the table.
"Oh, yeah!" Y/N said as she came out of her own personal fog. "I brought some games with me. Figured we'd do something together rather than sit staring at the television."
"You didn't bring Monopoly, did you?" I asked, a frown on my face at the prospect.
"Nope," she said with a smirk and then turned to look at Adrian.
"See? I told you Monopoly is cursed."
"I guess so if my own father reacted to it like that," he admitted.
"What's that look for?" Lisa asked as she looked at Allen.
"That game has been a curse on our family for generations," he said. "The only thing it managed to do right is chase my ex-wife away and make her not talk to me for months."
"A blessing and a curse all at once, eh?" I said with a laugh.
"Yeah, but more curse than blessing," Allen admitted. "I hate that game with a passion now because it doesn't keep my ex away as easily anymore."
"Enough about the birth unit," Y/N said. "I brought Jenga, so let's set that up to play." With that, after a few laughs of course, we set up the game and prepared to play.
